I'm a scaredy cat still. I can't watch films where people jump out to scare people.

Been reading and lurking, first time posting so not sure if this is allowed!!

But in terms of the "girlfriend" standing by him, multiple comments on facebook and twitter have said that the poor lass dumped him 6 months BEFORE the murder. From facebook comments it seems she's been harrased by journalists and now the mothers supposedly lied and said she's sticking by him when they weren't even together when it happened.

Welcome.

If only people didn't take what's in a newspaper as gospel.

He'll be turning 18 in May 2020 I think, is that right? Does anybody know his actual birthday, like what day it is?

That's proper crazy if the Mum lied about that.

She might have lied about it. She might have said the girl was initially standing by him when it all began 6 months ago, but is no longer. Or the Sun printed a load of bull.

Edit: I see comments that she dumped him 6 months BEFORE the murder.

I don’t like it either. Ive never been a fan of horror films yet Websleuths is filled with horror.

Funny, it's kind of the opposite for me. I can watch all manner of gore and murder in movies. Play violent video games, but I don't look at actual crime scene photos and I don't like hearing graphic details of crimes. It's weird isn't it?

Never more so since following this case. The headlines in the gutter press and a snippet taken from a full statement and twisted in context has been an eye opener for me not that I was a fan before nor am I sticking up for the murderer.

For the time being i'm sticking with seasoned criminologist Professor David Wilson's sentiments that he hasn't seen enough evidence to suggest that AC is actually psychopathic.

David Wilson also made other observations which I found interesting.

Yeah maybe because you know the movies / video games are fictional.

I suppose gaming is a form of escapism, away from real life.

I wonder whether its a different girlfriend? IIRC, AC stated that he saw TM from October 2017 - January 2018 when he then started a new relationship......

That's very possible

Yes, I think that's what it must be. I've seen people post videos on social media of other people being seriously maimed or dying and it makes me uncomfrotable, I can't watch it and don't know why someone would want to. But I suppose it has a different impact on people.

I'd say that was normal. A few people though for a myriad of reasons - nature and nurture, have difficulty separating right and wrong or the real from the fiction. I'm no psychiatrist but I might read a book!

I'm still shocked at Lynsey Calderwood and what she said about her 'friend' on the stand. Some friend she is; accusing her of being jealous of the child. Even if she did think that - if it were me in court, I'd keep it to myself as Toni is not the one on trial and only sways the jury away from AC. I feel so bad for Toni in all of this, it's all about AC now that his identity is out but my thoughts are with this girl too. I see she's no longer with Rab on Facebook at least. I imagine he's just a reminder of the torment she went through. A fresh start is all you could do in this case I guess and even then the pain of something like this probably never leaves :(
