Alesha's grandparents 'utterly devastated'

A victim impact statement has just been read out on behalf of Alesha’s grandparents Callum and Angela.

It said: “We are utterly devastated. Alesha was a beautiful, smart, funny and kind girl. We are traumatised.

“We do not see how we can live a normal life. Her future was taken and so was ours.”

Yes , we have always known they were. Much to distressing to put into words. Says it all really. His little gem of confessing is not going to make any difference to his sentence , imo. That boat sailed a long time ago.

'Killer has traits on the psychopath checklist'

Aaron Campbell’s defence lawyer Brian McConnachie QC has told the court that the teen has ‘traits on the psychopathy checklist’.

It follows a psychology report carried out on Campbell.

He added that the 16-year-old had a “less than ideal upbringing”.
