Oh my god I was just going to say the Same! There is no need to post his pic on that article when it’s about genie ! I’m sick of seeing it aswell now lol

Agree!! Couldn’t believe it when his mug popped up. Totally unnecessary. It’s even worse when they print Alesha and him side by side, makes my stomach churn.

Hi,
I'm reading of Alesha Macphail's abduction, rape and murder. Devastating for Alesha family and shattering for a island community to realize one of their own murdered a sweet six year old child. My heart goes out to Alesha family.

It's imperceptible a 16 year old is capable of abducting her from the grandparents flat, raping and murdering her. Alesha's killer is behind bars is a good thing. Aaron Campbell was sentence to just 27 years is beyond me.

Rehabilitation is questionable after he is released from prison. I fear someone like him will murder again.

Hi.
Yes, it's incomprehensible.
His sentence was life imprisonment, he must serve at least 27 years before being considered for parole. It's highly unlikely he'll ever walk the street again.

Hello.
Yes, it truly is such a shocking crime. I think a lot of people found it especially hard to conceive how a 16-year-old boy who seemingly had a decent life and a normal upbringing could do such a thing. It's been a very interesting yet sad case to follow.

I don't know how you and the others that attended court managed it Callum.

The whole thing is horrendous.

A child doing that to another child, dread to think what kind of adult he would have become.

Alicias mum has impressed me, she's so young but carried herself so well through the whole court case.

I think it was just quite surreal honestly and of course very emotional and I can't imagine what it was like for the family, what a horrible experience for them especially.

I know, it really is. It does make you wonder, doesn't it? So many questions and it's sad to think about it all.

Oh me too, she's such a strong woman. She seems to be doing everything she can to make her daughter proud and keep moving forward. I have so much respect for her.

I hope in future that her experience can help others going through similar situations. I'm a big believer in something positive coming from a terrible situation and she would be great at helping people.

I agree total respect for her.

Hello from Washington State,

The Pacific Northwest is known for serial killers. The first serial killer that comes to mind is Ted Bundy.

He graduated in 1972 from University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. A honor student and well regarded by his professors. The year 1971 he was attending university and employed at Seattle's Hotline Crisis Center where he met and worked alongside Ann Rule a former Seattle police officer and later a crime writer. One biographie is "The Stranger Beside Me" interesting read about Ted Bundy. Ann Rule said nothing disturbing in Bundy's personality at the time, she described him as "kind, solicitous, and empathetic.

It's hard to conceive how a 16 year old brought up in a good family could do this thing. It doesn't sound like he displayed warning signs growing or any hint he'd become a murderer. His family will live the guilt the rest of their lives in knowing
what happened.

I know that’s the worst bit and the bit that scares me the most. That it was just random, spontaneous and out of the blue . Which is even more chilling cause it’s not like anyone could of stopped or seen it coming it seems ? It’s chilling. He doesn’t seem to have been acting any differently in the days after it either which is even more disturbing .

Oh, the Pacific Northwest looks beautiful!

Yeah, I've heard of a few serial killers from the region. I guess because there's a lot of open space for miles and places to hide the bodies, I assume? Yep, good old Ted haha.

I've been meaning to read some of Ann Rule's work, I've heard she was a very good true crime writer.

It's confusing and sad at the same time, he's damaged not only the lives of Alesha's family but his own family as well. As you said, they'll have to deal with that for the rest of their lives.

I want to express my sorrow to Alesha's Mother for the loss of her daughter.

Yes, the Pacific Northwest is beautiful. Washington state is surrounded by mountains and unfortunately a place where
bodies are hidden.

One sad case is Lindsey Baum a 10-year-old girls missing since 2009. She was last seen June 26,2009
she left her friends home and began to walk the four blocks to her home but never arrived. In 2018 her remains were
found by hunters in the mountains. No arrested have been made. The detectives in Washington State are doing everything
to find who is responsible for Lisndsey Baums death.

Ann Rule is a good crime writer. She also the authored Green River, Running Red: the Real Story of Green River Killer.
This is a interesting read about serial killers. Gary Ridgway is also from Washington State.

Can people get married in UK prisons? Because I just read about Luka Magnotta (murderer from Canada) and he got married in prison and his mum attended the wedding...
They can sign papers which make them married, but that is about it. It seems that very shortly after the marriage, they sent Luka off to a different prison and he cannot even write nor call his husband. I am not sure of this, if anybody has information, let me know. It's like pulling teeth to get any information out of Canadian prisons.

E kept making a point about the centre which held the highland dancing classes. The MMA that this person claims to have taught AC also took place there.

Mind is wondering now... ZH has links to both classes from what I remember reading.

I’ve watched it too. She comes across so well and yet she’s so young and going through such an horrific ordeal. I can’t even begin to imagine the sadness which greets her everyday.
