To think genie is sitting through all this, his QC moaning he will be a Middle Aged man when he’s released meanwhile alesha is in a cold grave somewhere. I really can’t imagine how she must feel

Having to sit and listen to him calling the sentence a miscarriage of justice,I cant believe he said that!!!

One of the judges responds "..there is a differentiating factor between the cases, Mitchell's did not have a sexual nature.."

McConnachie agreed but says lines can be drawn between the "type of injuries".

McConnachie is now referencing the case of Luke Mitchell.

Mitchell was 15 when he killed his 14 year old girlfriend Jodi Jones.

Mitchell was sentenced to life with a minimum of 20 years behind bars back in 2003.

McConnachie now discussing Campbell’s psychology reports from Dr Johnson and Dr Macpherson. He says the sentencing judge “fell into the trap of being influenced by the reports in reference to setting the punishment part of his sentence”. The judge is asking him to explain.

No. He's just using it as an example of where a reduction in sentence happened because it's a sexual crime and also Adam McCormick was a child himself when the crime was committed.

The court now hearing about another report which “expressed doubt” on psychologists reports.

Judge says this report considers “unhelpful, irrelevant factors” and questions how useful it is in regards to the appeal.

The three judges who are presiding over the appeal have decided to take time to consider whether to reduce the sentence or not.

They will take "some time" to make their decision & it will be in writing.

In some ways I feel bad for the QC. He can only act on his clients instruction so I assume AC really must have pushed for this even if it’s not strongly in his favour. But mostly all my feelings are towards the poor family that have to go through this.
