Thank you :) I was scratching my head big time. I thought maybe it meant they were determined to be at the trial (which would be closed anyway because of his age):D

That made me cry. Little pink coffins shouldn't exist. There should never be a need for them, ever. :(

Exactly. I've been sitting here crying for over an hour now. My heart is just squeezing in pain due to the hole left in the universe caused by the taking of this sweet child's life. OMG

It's hard to find linkable pictures, but the following might be okay. From this link:
Hundreds attend Alesha's farewell

I was at Costco today & saw 2 little sisters, one of whom looked exactly like little Alesha. She was such a beautiful little girl taken away way too soon, I live in the US, but I think of this little girl daily.

I really hope always gets the justice she deserves but sometimes I am ashamed about our justice system in the uk. This little girl deserves for the accused to not have a free life. Not just spent an amount of time locked up and then have the opportunity to have a family and die old with the people he loves. He took that away from Alesha and her loved ones. All of us is found guilty of course.
taking a life in the course of a violent crime should mean you then forfeit your own life and spend it in prison.

rest forever in peace and love alesha.

I've followed this from the beginning. I am an ex-pat American and I was impressed with how much of a total black out there was on this young man's name. And I do agree with that because he is a minor now, but I also think the UK legal system is wildly liberal with sentencing. And I myself am wildly liberal so that's saying something. I also think the UK prison system is utter crap as far as actual rehabilitation. Not that the US is stunning or anything, either.

The layout of the flats was enlightening. And having just returned from a holiday in Wales, I imagine Scotland in a holiday area was very similar. Very easy-going, lots of people out and about saying hello, a friendly, happy, YEAH we are on holiday or YEAH, we live in this beautiful place sort of vibe. Your guard in every way is down.

Alesha's mum, Genie Lochrane, has shared a video of Alesha vlogging about her love of pasta, asking people to watch and make her daughter's dream come true.

She wants people to remember Alesha for who she was, not her tragic death.

In a public post on social media, Genie wrote: "Alesha always wanted to be a YouTube blogger and now unfortunately my darling baby girl will no longer be able to, so I ask for the power or everyone to share this video as far as it can go and (make) her dream come true for her."

I'd assume his DNA was found all over the poor child so his defence is going to be interesting. Feel sorry for his lawyer.

Wonder if this was one of the other flats within the building - or the house next door which was also searched ?
Also, seems an odd thing to do - takes AM to the hotel, where her body was found, and then goes all the way back to Ardbeg Rd - rather than his home, which is close to the hotel

It is alleged he went to another house in Ardbeg Road before disposing of the clothes he had worn and then taking a shower to remove blood from his body.
