She says she started the conversation about death and killing because she was watching a documentary. She also believes the chat happened when the pair were 14 years old.

During cross examinations another message between the pair is shown. The girl says "Glad I’m not at the top of your hit list". The accused replied; "No one is".

Sure about that. This is definitely pre-medicated. His cunning plan wasn’t very successful if it included getting away with it, crap....

Who says they might murder ‘for the life experience’. Physchopaths

At the end of the Facebook conversation shown to the jury, the girl giving evidence says to the accused “I’m glad I’m not at the top of your hit list” to which he replied “no one is

Further screenshots show message appearing to be from the accused saying “I’d only kill you for reason so I’d probs go to your room anyways tryna set something and covering my tracks while I am at it”. The pair were still discussing the subject of murder.

His grammar is either terrible or the reporting on this is poor....thought he was clever?

Not that strange really. There's been numerous things on Netflix and TV in the last year in relation to true crime/murders etc which might spark that sort of conversation with teenagers.

I agree with the defence that it only looks sinister because of what's happened. Taken on it's own it could easily be dismissed in most cases as nothing more than teenagers talking nonsense.

I think it's his grammar - I know the journos are tweeting quickly but I think they are reporting the actual words taken from the screenshots

Still cant shake of the feeling that an obsession/ contact with T was the catalyst.. stems from no response from his attempts to contact her that night

Thank god for Twitter. In days gone by we'd have had to wait until the end of the days session for a write up from the paper which wouldn't include half of the information!

It's all gone a bit quiet, so assume lunch
I did think they would have all 5 of the * children* testifying before lunch, but obv not

I agree. There is a whole trend now (Trolling, ‘Shitposting’ etc.) where teenagers say the most controversial things online without any real intention or meaning. It’s fuelled by forums and social media that offer a degree of anonymity - 4Chan, Reddit, Twitter etc.

In this case though, one of the teenagers was being more literal. But I doubt his friends believed his words at the time that much.

There is zero chance of him getting through a prison sentence without anyone knowing who he is.
Keeping a secret in prison is impossible...they say "a secret is only a secret until 3 people know"....well right from the off every guard in that prison will know.

Also...im not scottish, ive never been to rothesay and i know nobody involved in the case....but i do know the identity of the guy in the dock!..,so this type of thing has a strange habit of spreading whether they want it to or not
I know who he is too and I'm souther England. It broke on the net last year and people talk...

What world are they living in, with respect Rothesay a quiet island where you think the island is a safe place to live and bring up kids, drugs being cannabis nothing stronger but given that stronger drugs must have been abundant for those who needed and wanted, you can’t blame drugs for this, he must have mental issues, nor do I think you can blame poor up bring as he appears to have a free and easy life no stresses, but that said anxiety and stress levels were part of his personna

Girl says accused had told her on Facebook Messenger in 2017 that they had spoken about killings and crime TV shows. She claims accused told her he would “kill for the life experience”

BBM
well he's certainly going to get that now if found guilty
Ahhh. Now some foundation to rumours I had heard about

I think mental issues are a given. How they manifested to this extent in him - drugs, upbringing etc. I doubt we’ll ever really know for certain without seeing his psych evaluation.
