was he wearing boat friendly shoes?
no news coverage at all must mean he's accounted for in some way?

Hopefully dad can afford a private investigator.

Yes, something tells me he is voluntarily missing. They've done the river search just as a precaution but I think it's mostly leaning towards that. Sonning as an out of the blue night-time destination with suitcase, doesn't seem to me to be coincidence, and money in the family probably means connections and things like spare boats. He definitely can, and probably has already.
Oh godPolice searching for Mr Stern found a body in the river in nearby Charvil on Friday.
Although formal identification has not yet taken place, detectives believe it to be that of missing Mr Stern.
Body found in hunt for millionaire’s missing son who vanished near Clooney's home
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: “The death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner. Body found in river during search for missing man
I'm absolutely devastated with the outcome.
Something like that. A tragedy yes, I hope his family find solace.Tragic ending, I presume you were acquainted with Alexander in some way?
So often young men + alcohol near water ends in these circumstances. Stick around long enough on Websleuths and you will see.
RIP Mr Stern
Agreed. It's so mysterious to me how he could have fallen in the river, while pulling a suitcase around, and why he even had a suitcase with him. I wonder if the inquest will produce any answers.
Tragic outcome.
Absolutely nothing that I'm aware of unfortuantely@Frivolous any further updates do you know?
Emotional tributes have been paid to an "incredible human being" from West London whose body was found in the River Thames.
I think I've just seen what you might be seeing on the cctv.
I guess you're seeing him standing still, back to camera, suitcase being dragged in his left hand, left knee bent more than his right, approaching Thames Street square on?
What I'm seeing is him walking on the pavement of Thames Street in the same direction as the car behind him, suitcase being dragged by his right hand, and his right knee more bent, left arm swinging forwards.
I think it's an optical illusion. Which of us is right?
