These men would only have been about 23 and 30 at the time of Andrew’s disappearance. I don’t know what to think, but something must have been found to suggest a connection to Andrew, the photos, perhaps?

I truly hope his family was given some kind of a heads-up that this was coming. I hope LE can share some information with them, even if they can't share with the public.

None in particular, just fresh appeals on the anniversary of his disappearance Sept '21 but I also remember a news article his father did too at Christmas time. No new information or anything, I just wondered if the fresh appeals got anyone deciding to put in a tip after all this time

The article says released under investigation, so potentially could be charged at a later date.



Release under investigation (RUI) is used by the police instead of bail – but unlike pre-charge bail it has no time limits or conditions. This can leave the accused and alleged victims in limbo with no updates on their case for an unlimited time.

Andrew Gosden: Two men arrested for kidnap and human trafficking after boy, 14, mysteriously disappeared 15 years ago (thesun.co.uk)
''South Yorkshire Police have now confirmed two men were arrested on suspicion of kidnapping the teen last Wednesday.

A 45-year-old man was held on suspicion of kidnap, human trafficking and the possession of indecent images of children.

The force - assisted by the Met - also arrested a 38-year-old man on suspicion of kidnap and human trafficking.

Both suspects have now been released under investigation while enquiries continue.


Senior investigating officer, Detective Inspector Andy Knowles said: “Our priority at this time is supporting Andrew’s family while we work through this new line of enquiry in the investigation.

"We are in close contact with them and they ask that their privacy is respected as our investigation continues.''

That was my thought, when I saw the charges. A possiblity, sadly.
