Gonna go check out the abandoned crown pub in market lane see if any of those boards have been disturbed. That's where he was last seen

there's no CCTV after that point. Wish me luck.
Can't get the image to work I'm new here. I'll report back later.

Just checked it out nothing out of the ordinary everything locked down tight only thing different from Google maps is that there's now scaffolding all around the back. I can conduct more searches if anyone has any ideas or theories.

The pubs round here are full of it. Someone I know used to run a pub here and they had a massive problem with people doing coke in the toilets.

That's what I mean. Only his family would know, my thoughts only went to it from personal experience of going out in the UK. Its everywhere and every day lots of "normal" hard working people take it.

I live very close to the river about a mile North of the Pells. I walk my dog along the river. Lots of debris on the banks as a result of the recent high waters. I will keep an eye out. Really, really strange. How often do adult males get kidnapped? Unlikely. He was last seen walking towards the war memorial which is well away from the river and any water. Just bizarre.

Anyone know where they celebrated their Christmas drinks last year? Was it also in Lewes?

Also, regarding the new CCTV above, anyone got any thoughts about these things? 1) He paces a lot compared to his friends 2) His jacket is longer than I assumed. 3) He smokes a lot 4) When he is on the phone he looks up the street as if talking to someone in that direction.

There's 20 minutes unaccounted for here if he continued walking that way into Landport housing estate to buy cigarettes he could of got into some sort of altercation with someone. It's a weird direction to walk in when Waitrose is in town and probably closer.

He definitely paces more than the other smokers

Another thing I noticed...although it seems the family have said the removed station st cctv is not him ...on this clear footage he walks in with a man in a flat cap and theres a woman out smoking with them (who could of course be anyone ..pure speculation and observation

I read that last years drinks was more london based ..but not sure on the validity of that

So they went Lansdowne arms, the royal oak, the lamb and then elephant and castle. So knew where the station was as you can see it from the Lansdowne Arms.

That order makes sense they're all basically along the same road.

Ah, you are an absolute star!

As a local, if you went up that road, up past the E&C and back down again, is it easy to misjudge the turning for the lamb and head past to the barbers? In other words, at the junction as you are walking back, can you see the lamb pub? Reason for asking is, did he misjudge his path back and end up on a different street slightly lost, or was it possibly a deliberate decision to walk that way eg to head for cigarettes.

That's certainly possible although the route back to the lamb is slightly uphill Where as the other direction is downhill you can't see the lamb well at all from that junction

So the images kindly shared by @JosieJo and the new ones from the Landsdowne from @Bit of hope do I think confirm that the three people walking down the road are in fact AK's friends? Not that it gets us anywhere but is that our general consensus?

I don't see anything out of the ordinary him having a smoke outside the bar. He has just a good time, socializing. He doesn't look drunk, not even when they leave, I don't see him rubbing his hands...when it's cold you would pace more up and down...he is not looking at women passing by...(most man do). The one thing I noticed is when he is using his phone (with his back to us, away from the door, a certain covering up body language) he looks up when somebody comes through the door. Feels like he feels kind of busted.

I thought it was confirmed by a family member that the "three people" footage was not him.

I thought the 3 people had a female at the front...?

Yes - he was talking to that lady a lot outside - she may be local - did they chat in the bar, too? She was playing with her hair a lot - flirting, likely, as Anthony is very attractive. I'm not suggesting any wrongdoing on anyone's part - purely an observation. The CCTV is so clear.

ETA - according to FB comments - the woman stated that they just 'exchanged pleasantries' outside the pub.

I'm still wondering about The Paddock and Baxters Field - not yet searched by the public according to the brilliant search map. Really close to the E&C pub, though AK may have been walking in the opposite direction...at this stage I don't feel confident about anything.

Also, Lewes Castle had a large wall fall down some weeks before - the rain may have affected some less well known structures in the area too.

Just thinking...and sending my very best wishes to Anthony's loved ones.

The girl they're chatting to does look like someone who works at one on the local shops can't be 100% sure it's her though.

On reflection I m not sure the public having access to so much cctv has been a positive. All kinds of people have been watched and analysed by half the country. Surely it’s against some sort of gdpr?

BBM Interesting, very interesting observation. It definitely looked 'private' to me. I noticed him looking up the street as if the conversation was about someone coming from that direction or being in that direction. Where did they go after this Pub visit, anyone know? Which direction? Could he be alive, in hiding and with all the fuss not able to come out now? Sorry to ask this.
