Agreed about these crime maps. I don't know about that area particularly but I know for a fact the figures in my city are sometimes incorrect. For example, the street I live on is tiny, literally about 100 yards in length, there are 2 pubs, a large tall office block, executive flats and a handful of smaller private rent properties, like mine. I can see the whole street from my living room window and see most of what happens out there. Yet when crime figures have been released there is stuff on there like 'shoplifting' charges - when there are no shops to shoplift from for starters, other crimes, like fighting, that have taken place around the corner, where all the nightlife is, must sometimes get logged as happening on my street - when they definitely didn't. So yeah, basically what I'm saying is I don't put much faith in these statistics generally.

Hi little Nicki welcome....I'm glad you feel safe.

View attachment 223238 this was the river the morning after at high tide one slip on the muddy sloped embankment and your in and away. That's about 8ft deeper than it is normally. there's a area of flat grass land that's normally dry and walkable on before the rivers natural course.

Thank you...I know I was still nagging about the floods, getting into perspective if Anthony could have fallen in the water. I see a lot of obstacles getting near the water, but also "a try-able" path...

Anthony's fiancé posted a photo of his phone(his phone in the actual 'case' he had with him - phone on right hand side(open) , his bank cards in wallet-style slots on the left , as I recall) . The phone case/cover is black leather-type - a match in size and depth as the phone .
Hi all, please bear with me as this is my first post, I have been silently following this story but wondered where his fiancé posted a photo of his phone? Thank you

Welcome Browrich....we all "did it" once for the first time here on WS, so don't worry. :) Didn't catch that either....somebody?

Anyone think it's a possibility that Anthony could have been thrown out of a pub by staff? Might explain why he was roaming the streets alone? Maybe trying to find friends or get back into the pub? Might explain why his friends said he appeared anxious.

There was only one person said he looked anxious. That was his best friend who did not join the bar crawl.

I think they said that he wasn’t seen drinking or buying drink in the Lamb, as if it was his choice as apposed to being refused, moo that he looked anxious because people often do get anxious in a pub when they aren’t drinking but everyone else is.

Not drinking in the Lamb makes me think he was already thinking of exiting the party. Just the thought of wanting to leave and how to do it could be enough to make a person appear anxious, rather than being anxious for another reason.

She posted it to the Lewis Present site , herself (I've just spent ages searching for it on there , but now I can't find it anywhere - posters on there refer to the posting & photo(so I'm definitely not going nuts) , so either it's disappeared , or I can't see for looking .

Do we know who he was on the phone to when we see him on the phone outside the pub?

I haven't had a chance to work out all the geography here but if this is somewhere he is likely to have walked I have to say I think the, sadly not unusual, drunk man falls in body of water is going to be the outcome.

HAS ANYONE SEEN FOOTAGE OF ANTHONY WALKING WITH A WHITE BAG AND 2 MEN ARE WALKING BEHIND HIM? THEY SEEM TO WALK FAST AND CATCH UP WITH HIM. AK SEEMS TO TURN AS IF TO WATCH THEM BUT CARRIES ON WALKING. THEN ONE OF THE MEN MUST SAY SOMETHING TO HIM BECAUSE AK TURNS AGAIN AND LOOKS LIKE HE SPEAKS. THEN THE VIDEO GOES OFF. I CANNOT DOWNLOAD IT ON HERE.

I have only seen one video with white bags, it's at the bottom of this link, I can't see if you resolved who was carrying the bags but AK is the person at the back who overtakes the white bag carriers

I wonder if he had spent more than he had thought he would on an uber and drinks and was running out of money.

Regards him being home by 2am as his partner had work
Jmo opinion but I think that has grown legs a little..I dont think the intention was to ever be out that late because a) they started at lunchtime and b) the others left around 10pm ...I think " he knew he had to be home by 2am as she had work" was just a way of saying he knew it was never going to be an all nighter

That makes sense. And maybe he thought it better if he left even earlier than 10 pm so he could be sure to be home well in time, maybe also taking into account that train services might be spotty.

I now lean towards the scenario that he intended to go to the station, took a wrong turn at first then realized his mistake and backtracked (what we saw in the footage). Since they apparently didn't find any footage of him after 7.41 pm I now think he was the victim of a crime. Jmo.

Has anyone ever read any mention if there was cctv at the lamb ?

I think there must be because the detective, when speaking about AK rubbing his hands together in one of the videos, said something like "We seeing him doing that at the pub too". Jmo.

Edit: Ah just saw Tortoise beat me to it!

As mentioned , there was CCTV in the Lamb(not published) . His best friend (not present at the drink-up),watched the footage with presumably police/family , and he was quoted(but I'm paraphrasing) as saying he thought Anthony was looking very anxious .
It was also confirmed that Anthony did not have a drink nor buy a drink whilst in the Lamb .

That just made me think now that maybe Anthony was not feeling too well? Maybe that's why he left earlier. Jmo.

On Facebook Lucy wrote: “How can a man walk out of a pub and not be seen since?

“Three cars drive right past the pub in the minutes after as he walks out the door.

“He leaves at 19.16. The third car stops briefly, could this have been you? Do you have a dash cam you could check?”
