Has anyone discovered yet if April was at the parents meeting? The council stated she was playing outside on her bike while the parents attended. Surely there would be witnesses to this fact. Also, how likely is it for a 7yr old to know it was 7pm when April was abducted? Is it possible she could have been missing since 3.30pm that day?

You mean to say the 7 yr old wouldn't know whether it was 7pm or 3.30? I think you're reaching.

As far as we know the 7 yr old went inside after April was taken and informed her mother of it. So around 7pm is surely the correct time.

Is it also not possible that the mother of the 7yr old didn't report it to Coral until Coral noticed it was getting dark and bothered to enquire?

<Mod Snip>. the council did not say she was playing outside the school. All they confirmed was that both parents were there. The telegraph journalist went on to say that April disappeared while they were at the meeting from where she was playing, outside, but not outside the school. If this were the case it would have been all over the papers I imagine.

As for missing from 3.30, no, seeing as she was seen playing in the evening by a few witnesses and further the leisure centre manager said she had a swimming lesson two hours before going missing, so around 5ish.

From Amber34's findings from post #667 CJ first went to AJ's playmates house which is when the little girl said AJ had got into the "van". It was reported that CJ phoned MR (AJ's Godmother) at 6:50pm to say that AJ had been "kidnapped" so that must have been after she visited the playmate's house and been told about the "van". If all that's true, the abduction time is likely to have been closer to 6:30pm possibly.

So April went swimming at 5pm and the parents meeting didn't start until 5pm? Who was looking after April?

Now here's an example of how analysing Mark Bridger, his character, lifestyle, beliefs, hobbies, etc can help creating ideas where April might be.

The following is all just my opinion, people might have a completely different view of him.

From what I read about him here and in articles and from his photos I don't think he's a psychopath. I think he has genuine feelings for other people and does not set out to hurt anyone. I think he is made up of a soft side with deep, loyal and passionate feelings towards others, and a more wild, untamed side, which is prone to sudden outbursts of anger. He is sometimes ashamed of his soft side and thinks he isn't "man enough", he's insecure under his manly exterior. This leads him to seek constant approval from others. I don't think he's evil but he can become violent if he doesn't control his temper. He's an outdoor person who can easily do hard physical work. He is more guided by physical and emotional needs than by logic, planning and reasoning.

Whatever he did to April, it "happened". Either it was a stupid accident, something went terribly wrong, or he did something to her out of uncontrollable anger, even hate. He didn't plan for it, he snapped, and he regretted it almost instantly. He was (and still is) filled with remorse and guilt. He was not able to just dump her in the trash or down a mineshaft, or dismember her or such things. He took her body to bury her somewhere in an attempt to give her at least that much respect and care. I think he chose a "nice" spot, he knows the area well, so he would have chosen a spot he himself liked. He buried her, arranged her properly, maybe even wrapped her in a blanket or something. He might have marked the spot somehow.

Of course, the need to cover up his crime to protect himself is stronger than facing up to the truth and come clean. He's too insecure to do that, he fears the response he will get from family and others.

These are my thoughts. I think LE should look in areas where digging is possible, and ask his friends and family if he had any favourite spots in the area, and search there.

So the 7yr old cannot identify Bridger. If she could, why would the godmother state she had been kidnapped. Surely the impression would be that April got into a van with her uncle and it was no big deal?

the timeline comes from the police.

the witness was interviewed extensively by police.

I don't think the police have it wrong.:twocents:

again, they said they had to extensively interview the child witnesses. It is not easy to interview a child. Not to mention we do not know what the child was able to say at this time.

That is why I asked if the police had used sonar on the fishing lake near his house.

Ok, put yourself in that situation. Would you phone the mother and say your daughter has been kidnapped, or would you say she got into the car with her uncle?

We dont know what time the parents had their meeting, maybe that report refers to the start of the evening in general or what time MB was seen there. Its not clear.
Also the council confirmed MB was there between 5.30 and 6.00.

One or both may have been at swimming. The timelines and whereabouts is still so sketchy, well for us public just going on the papers and different stories.

How would the woman know if the child was not able to articulate it?

Regardless, the family are not the ones arrested or the ones under suspicion here. It is always very tricky with child witnesses. Early on the police said it was not very clear and they had to do more interviews. I will have to go back to thread one to find that link but that is what I recall.

I'm sure we've discussed this before. Anyway, I imagine what happened is that MH said AJ got into a van, CJ panicked and thought kidnapping. The police were called. MH would have been questioned by professionals about the van at which point details may have emerged, such as AJ getting into the drivers side. The police could have said that means it might be a LHD at which point CJ could have said, Oh MB's got a LHD. Or some similar variant on the above. That would tie in with reports that MB was identified as a possible POI by CJ/PJ. At that point, MB would have to be investigated, even if it was just to eliminate him from enquires.

Hey Clutchbag! I figured it wasn't MB because of the age/description of the man. But there wasn't any further description of the Land Rover other than it was a Discovery. Do you see where i'm gong with this?

So i got thinking... The 7 yr old witness, was female? How much would someone that age Know about cars? Under pressure in an interview, if it was a similar vehicle to MB's or even the same, presuming she was familiar with MB's Land Rover Disco, how would she describe a vehicle fitting that description?

Does that make sense?
Sorry, Im having a bit of a slow day, not sure what you mean.

I'm beginning to think that the press cannot be trusted at all on its comments in this case.

Dyfed-Powys Police said all the witnesses to her suspected abduction were children.

Det Supt Reg Bevan said getting information from the children would take time.

"It's a delicate and difficult process interviewing young children who were the witnesses to this," he said.
