In the context of housing in Wales, what is an "estate"? I am referring to the estate where AJ and her parents lived.
It is short for housing estate. A collection of houses within an area.

You are confusing premeditation with intent. It's not the same thing.

You're right, I did.

So intent - isn't that terribly hard to prove? When LE charged him they said it was because of the results of the forensic analysis they had conducted on the house and car. How do forensics prove intent? If there was for example blood or other fluids, how can you distinguish between an intended killing and an accidental one?

The other charges, of course, there are more obvious, but the murder charge kind of baffles me.

So are those Council properties or private property ?
People do have the right to buy council properties, but they do look council owned.

Considering this is a town where everyone knows everyone else's business, I doubt you could fart without the news spreading. Lots of people would have known where he had moved to.

It is totally impossible for one person to know the business of 2100 people. I'd take that claim with a very large pinch of salt. What it means is that long-term residents will have a handful of friends and near neigbours that they know, unlike somewhere like inner London where people often don't know the people in the same block of flats.

If everyone really did know everyone else's business, that would include the local LE. They clearly didn't know!

Plenty knew where he had moved to. Just none knew where he was the night April went missing.

If they had known his new address, why do you think the police weren't there? Even if he was away all night we know he was there on the Tuesday morning, so the police could have waited for him if they had known the address. All the police seemed to know was that he was living somewhere in the vast area between Machyllneth and Dolgellau, which is why they closed 12 miles of the road between the two towns.

I have only just noticed that the image of MB in the swimming pool? Shows a tattoo of a Scorpion on the left side of his chest. He was born November 6th so he would be a Scorpion, but to put it on your body would mean he believes in astrology and in his birth sign. He wants people to know he's a Scorpio.

Some people have tattoos of mermaids, but it doesn't mean they believe in mermaids!

I think we are again in danger of discussing the guilt of the accused rather than on finding AJ.

But he is a Scorpio and putting a Scorpion on your body is very significant.

A quick Google for local estate agents suggests that a number of them are now privately owned.

Totally agree - the video on the BBC that I posted a few pages back describes vehicles and give examples of the Connect and the Landrover as being similar to what they were looking for. Did he own both vehicles? We've seen lots about the landrover, nowt about the Connect. I did wonder if the garage owner had loaned him the Connect when he put the landrover in there (did it really need repairing or was it a way to hide the vehicle in plain sight?) but going on the news reports and timing of the information, the Connect was shown being guarded while they were still enquiring about the whereabouts of the landrover.

Unless the Connect is being held as further 'secret' evidence? However, in the search for April's location, they have only asked for sightings of the Landrover, which leads me to believe the Connect may have been a bit of a red herring, perhaps to back up the witness statement about seeing a light coloured vehicle.

This has me baffled.

Yes, I was thinking about the van the police were holding by the Bridge, I seem to remember some of the reports saying MB 'had access' to other vehicles....
I wonder if like you say the van is already in Police custody or...if it wasn't but was evidence that they are not releasing pictures cos HE doesn't own it??? to prevent the public 'setting' on the real owner??
All my own opinion though.

It doesn't, but it reveals a lot about MB's personality.

My point is that the mods have said more than once that this thread should be about finding AJ, not discussing the possible guilt of the suspect. I don't want to see the thread closed.

Amber34. I remember reading somewhere but now I cannot find it. One of MB's neighbours stated that when MB first moved into mount pleasant that there was a female partner with children that used to visit or be there. I am sure I read it, I just wondered if you remember it too.

Yes, I remember seeing/hearing that too. He was according to some still seeing VF up until a week before April went missing.

Good point, especially as there is a thriving Facebook page called "Hang Mark Bridger"

My own feeling is that it was just one of a number of vehicles that LE stopped to search that day, because it fitted the vague description they were given by the seven year old. I think it caught peoples' attention because it was picked up in the Sky Helicopter shot. There could easily be other vehicles that were stopped, but most of the A487 in the Corris valley is too heavily wooded for them to be visible from the air.

http://cartographic.info/uk_street/map.php?id=126342

This is a handy site, just click anwhere on the map around the estate and then scroll down a bit to the next screen to see crystal clear closer up pictures of the roads, garages, streetlamps, etc

You can also click on the little arrows to walk around

useful for other areas too

How does it help in finding AJ?

How does it help knowing whether the houses are privately owned or not?

There are many things discussed here that seem very insignificant re finding April.

But who knows maybe they turn out to be later on. Sometimes you have to turn over a lot of insignificant stones to find the right one.

An insight into MB's character and beliefs might lead to a theoriy where he might hide her body. It might have been a place that is in some way significant to him. So knowing him better could help.

Whether the scorpion tatoo will help with that I don't know. But then again it might.

Besides, pointing out that he has a tatoo isn't the same as discussing his guilt/innocence.

Rings a bell here too, but I also had no luck finding it
