The family wouldn't have known she was in his car *this* time if she hadn't gone missing. I don't care what they think they know, we know it is possible for April to get into a car without any member of her family knowing she is doing so.

If that is the case, then who ever saw the recent car was the one who compared it to that car. How else could they say they had been in that vehicle before?

I'm not following your logic here. The AF quote was printed on 3rd Oct after MB was arrested on the 2nd Oct. It's entirely possible that soon after his arrest, April's friends were asked by their parents if they had ever got in his car before and that's when it came to light that they had done so a couple of days earlier.

I seem to remember this part of the story being introduced as "it emerged that..." The claim that she had been in the car before was presented as if it emerged after everyone would have known "the car they've got is Mark Bridger's landrover". In which case someone could say "she was in Mark's car on such and such a day before". Obviously it would have been a bit odd if they had said, on Monday night, "oh yes she was in a light grey van little at the front and big at the back a couple of days ago".

I'm not sure we're considering the post as gospel, as we shouldn't be taking MSM as gospel either. It's hard to know at this stage exactly what the truth is.

What is the significance of giving the.public that.information? Seems irrelevant really unless that's a possible defence drip fed to the press to explain how possible dna could.be in.the.car (assuming it.was found)

I just think the press were reporting everything they heard, while they were still allowed to. Their agenda is to sell as much news as possible, as truthfully as possible, not to censor out anything not of use to the search or investigation.

LE didn't give the public that informtion. It came to light as a result of the press trying to interview as many people as they could, probably for background stories. It probably is irrelevant.
