GUILTY UK - Arrest in 1987 'Bedsit Murders' of Wendy Knell, 25, and Caroline Pierce, 20, in Kent

You know, if it is true, it makes me wonder...
Why to take the victim's diary?
To read it?
To get to know the girl better?

The same thing happened with the dead he abused.
He checked the info about these women in Internet.

This seems the victims weren't just "bodies" for him, he felt some strange "emotional" connection with them.

He seemed to be split:

In his "normal" life he had wives, kids, lovers.

In the paralel "nocturnal" life he also had "lovers".

Hovewer macabre it sounds.

MOO
I think he enjoys writing lists possibly obsessively. Newspapers mention the 1986 and 1987 diaries I believe police found in his loft and then there is the sick information he stored on computer hard drives. He also belongs to a genealogy group but I haven't found his notes there to be over obsessive.

Have we covered this article before which I am just going to read now.
https://www.hsj.co.uk/acute-care/ex...avid-fullers-mortuary-attacks/7031259.article

Quote: 'Mr Fuller had recorded the assaults on a small digital camera with the videos and photographs later being transferred to his home computer or external storage devices.

When police searched his house in Heathfield, East Sussex, after his arrest for the 1987 murders, they found 14m images and 4m videos in his home office and loft which have taken months to sort through. There were 100 hard drives, 2,200 floppy discs, 30 sim cards and mobile phones, 1,300 CD and DVDs, and 34,000 photographic prints, slides, negatives and film rolls'.

I think the article I just shared answers your question. I would imagine he did the same with the bedsit victims.

Quote 'Mr Fuller had labelled some of the hard drives with names of some victims and had also kept a notebook in which he recorded their names. Some of the images which police discovered also revealed the time and date they were taken which helped to narrow down the possible victims'

We know he went to see them at Tunbridge Wells Assembly Hall and I believe the date was Wed 19th Nov 1986. He then went to Buster Browns, where Caroline worked, after the gig - quite a trek from the Assembly Hall I'd say.

My God, how many obsessions can 1 person have?
I wonder if he also indulged in indecent exposures?

I hope not - for the sake of the people living there.
Tunbridge Wells - it is a very beautiful name and also a little mysterious.
For a foreigner like me!
It is actually known as Royal Tunbridge Wells ! People assume you are posh if you live there but it can actually be quite seedy in some parts !

Is anyone able to pull up archives about 'moonlight rapist' in the area of Crowborough not far from Tunbridge Wells during the 1980's/early 1990;s.
I recall an elderly woman being raped near Queens Road, Crowborough which was not far from the local hospital. I wonder if Fuller may have covered some shifts in Crowborough as there was something recently mentioned linking him to the town in a newspaper report where it said he had worked at a control centre called Ashdown Controls.
Necrophiliac murder accused was 'kind and gentle'

Fuller added that he came to Tunbridge Wells from Portsmouth and began working for an electronics company, called Ashdown Controls.

Court hears David Fuller 'regularly cheated on wife' - live murder trial updates
He started working at Kent and Sussex Hospital in 1989, previously worked at Ashdown Control in Crowborough for a couple of years.

Crowborough Courier newspaper covered all the local news at the time.

"Moonlight rapist"
"Cinderella murder"

Why do they use such beautiful words with horrible crimes????
I don't like it!
It somehow "romanticizes" the crimes.
Don't people see it?

The same goes with peoples unfortunate names, Brighton cat slasher 'Bouquet' and Croydon murderer Keith Valentine and on it goes.

Has Fuller got a title to his name yet at all in addition to bedsit murderer.

No, what you wrote are the names of places.

"Bedsit murderer" suits him fine.
The name "bedsit" sounds horrible to me. Like a "cage".

Thanks dotr, the article MsMiniSleuth shared on the other post about Doug Carroll shows a different location so are police searching these woods in Tunbridge Wells as well or is this an unrelated incident.
I think a body found if this is the case will mean a recent event rather than 'remains' or 'bones' being found so hopefully not related to our discussions but sad none the less.

Was Buster Browns an "open till late" place? I seem to remember that pubs shut at 11pm back then and I'm not sure if that applied to restaurants. I'm just thinking that gig would have been up to 2 hours, then the walk to Buster Browns which wouldn't leave much time. Or perhaps they went to Buster Browns before the gig.

Mind you, did Cutting Crew have enough tunes back then for 2 hours? Perhaps not...probably a much shorter gig.

Concerts usually have 2 performers/groups.
1st part is an additional group as "warm up" and then the stars appear!
Oh, there are also encores!
