His granny and uncle must be absolutely heartbroken, devastated and beyond angry at what transpired, after they tried to get help. Every one who failed Arthur (social services, policeman who never got back to the uncle etc.) should also be tried and punished to the maximum. This is an unforgiveable travesty.

I agree, they need to be held accountable for their failings, not just a slap on the wrist either.

Yes, this 100%. His grandparents and uncles tried to help, and were threatened with arrest for breaking lockdown rules. So sad. SS should have interviewed both children alone. Maybe Arthur would have disclosed he'd been told what to say by ET

They were also threatened with arrest for harassment. So by that piece of information, we can be sure that they attempted to help Arthur on more than one occasion.

Wasn't there a case of a woman reporting her ex husband for stalking and she was threatened with prosecution for being a nuisance and then he killed her? But 'Lessons will be learned'.

There have been a few cases like this. The one I remember most was Shana Grice. She reported her ex and was fined for wasting police time. He went on to murder her in her bedroom before setting her house on fire. Her parents tried to get a full inquest into her murder but lost their appeal.

I definitely heard a name at the start too, not sure if it was mummy, nanny or Emma. And there's over 200 recordings, I feel for his family too. Heartbreaking

God and you would wonder were there even more recordings that she deleted. How could you go around with all those recordings on your phone, what an absolute sicko she is.

It's about time! This is one of the worst cases of child abuse in this country. And the main news outlets haven't televised it. Disgusting! Everyone should know what's happened to Arthur.
1 - 2 children die every week in the UK at the hands of their parents. Definitely needs more public awareness

I really hope there are some changes made after this case, more communication between police,social services and schools. Or something to ensure when photos of abuse are sent they are taken seriously. Something has to change.

Well we know she didn’t record his final moment and there’s a reason for that. I’d imagine it would be difficult to record it while simultaneously smashing a child’s head off the floor/walls. Honestly, I cannot type on here my full and frank thoughts because I’m 100% sure I would get a ban…

One of the reasons I force myself to read and watch everything. Even though the parent in me absolutely hates it and wishes I could scoop that little boy up and show him love. Is so I know exactly what he went through. It’s the least I can do for Arthur.

I don’t see them getting whole life tariffs. While I agree it could fall under the sadistic category, whole life tariffs are rare. There’s less than 100 prisoners serving them. If you look at the crimes of those that have received them, it’s usually multiple murderers, terrorists, or where it’s a child it’s been a stranger abduction.

I hope to see 30+ years even with time on remand deducted.

I hear ya, its very overwhelming when you think about those moments. I keep telling myself the court will do him justice, people will find out about this awful case and something will change for the better, as otherwise its too much to bear

She did. But not any of the evidence of him (in her words) “f****** himself all up the walls”. Whereas she always managed to video and audio record him attacking himself and screaming “abuse”. I think that was very telling, and I’m glad one of the legal team (can’t remember if it THs or CPS) picked up on that.

I’m sure I read somewhere that he had a put up bed when he shared a room with ET son, why didn’t they put that downstairs instead of him sleeping on the floor if ET was genuinely worried her sofa ‘would get ruined?’ He was sleeping on the floor purely for cruelty

Yeah never thought of that, cruel fe$%$$ers. And the sofa right behind him, it was so neat and tidy, she gave that sofa more love and care than she ever did for Arthur

Yes there was a camp bed, there were also at times spare beds.
