I dont get why they bring everyone in to wait around, its like she is going to court and refusing to go in. Or what is going on I wonder. If she is too "sick" to attend surely they could cancel sooner

If she was deemed medically unwell, i would presume that court would receive this information and would adjourn the trial and reschedule for the next available date, like they did on Monday(trial was adjourned until Wednesday, no sitting Tuesday). The fact that they’ve reconvened twice, tells me that ET is deemed medically fit and is just point blank refusing to attend. JMO

Thanks @Tinksx xx
I'd hoped they might have seen the video of poor little Arthur beforehand. I'm assuming that was the first time they'd actually seen him since mid April, when they raised the alarm about the vicious bruising. Heartbreakingly distressing for them to see the difference in their beloved boy in just two months

TH parents would not be allowed in the court room at all until after they had been called at witness, given their evidence and then released by the judge from the court. They would then be allowed to watch the rest of the trial and attend in the public gallery. They will have been warned that there would be distressing images etc… but no, nothing would have prepared them for this. I cannot imagine their heartbreak, I really can’t

I understand what you're saying. But, ET coached the children what to say. And TH wasn't man enough to put that right. The system is flawed, and SWs are trained that coercion can occur. They didn't follow the correct process. But they didn't salt poison Arthur, and they didn't smash and shake his head against a hard surface.
Sure.
That is why the "system" isnt on trial, but her.

ET will probably now blame Arthur for the delay - she blamed him for everything else!

  • #365
Some poster wrote that TH might have some witnesses to testify in his favour.

I wonder about his brother who called him a wonderful dad.

“The stress of Arthur’s suicide and me being blamed completely unfairly, is really affecting my mental health! This isn’t fair!!”
:rolleyes::mad::rolleyes:

No, me neither. I hope in time they're able to get these images out of their heads and replace them with happy memories of their smiling boy.
I read some comments on the fundraising page yesterday from Arthur’s maternal Grandmother calling him her "Sunny Delight".....it's clear this beautiful boy was dearly loved and treasured by his wider family - perhaps that increased ET's hatred and vindictiveness towards this innocent little love (in my experience narcs don't like you being happy)

I hope they drag her a***e in to that courtroom soon so she can get her comeuppance - to an extent anyway

I read that too, devastating for all of them

This brother was a witness for prosecution

But can a defendant refuse to attend the trial?
Isnt it a contempt of court, or whatever it is called?

If it is true she refuses, so what is the problem of continuing without her?
She cant apellate if it was her decision, right?

Is there no way, that we can petition/file complaints for the trial to continue, with or without ET? Under the “public interest” angle? I’ll admit I know nothing in the slightest about these sorts of things, but would public outrage change the narrative of the “ET show”. Because this is fast what this is becoming….

I read from some of you that you wonder what they thought was going to happen- death? Or adoption? Sadly, I know all to well from talking to other survivors in my support group for Child abuse survivors. Many of us survive. Our abusers gaslight us for the rest of our lives making us believe our memories are false or that we are crazy. We begin to dissociate and not know what is real and what is false. We develop derealisation and depersonalization. We have the ability to leave our bodies and feel like we are floating. If we do go to a teacher, we are often not believed. If your abuser is a master manipulator they manipulate people in our lives to believe we are liars or troubled. Sadly, I think had he survived it is very likely he would have just endured the pain until he was old enough to run away. Then he would end up on drugs to cope. Eventually, maybe getting the help he needed after rehab or therapy. So many abusers get away with what they’ve done. My entire extended family still don’t believe that my mother is capable of doing the things she did to me. My father is a coward who can’t stand up to her. I have not spoken to them in years. They will never meet their grandchildren. This is often the fate of survivors.

I questioned this but there are defendants that haven’t attended or participated in their trial. Stephen Beadman for example.

This is an absolute blinking farce. Each day is costing money, wasted time and inconvenience to all the legal staff and jurors, not to mention the backlog the courts have with cases piled up in the system.

I'm so sorry for what you had to live as a child, and the fact that it will continue to affect you is heartbreaking. The people I've met who've most successfully dealt with their childhood abuse, and managed to process it best saw themselves as survivors. Some people do not deserve to have children.

But Arthur’s grandmother reported it to social services. They were not interested in seeing the bruise photo. The neighbours repeatedly reported it to both the police and social services. There was ample warning. No they didn’t directly murder him, but there were missed opportunities to rescue him. They deserve some blame.
