I know police have searched extensively in the area where he was last seen but just from having a look on Google maps it seems very possible he could’ve been missed, the River Soar looks like quite a hefty bit of water at the best of times and they’d experienced a large amount of rain in that part of England the weekend previously.

Is Aryan running to catch a bus, or away from something? speculation.

CCTV footage of missing Aryan Sharma

Curious that they chose to release this running footage. Most of what they describe is him walking. If they just want drivers to be able to identify him then why show this footage of him running?
To me, the footage shows him in an odd manner. He is not running from or to anything, and his gait is one of what I call "goofing around". This can happen if you are high, or a happy drunk (not necessarily drunk, but past a few) or even if you are running a favorite song through your head or trying to stay awake or warm. That his hands were in his pockets was also unusual, so pointing out something people would notice more than, say, a guy just plodding along. You don't jog in that kind of coat, nor was that a normal jogging gait. It would be something a motorist might notice, at least I might have.

does anyone think that there is a possibility of an accident, like the famous case of jay slater
I think it’s more likely a mental health crisis rather than a tragic accident -MOO.

He looks like he is on a mission to get somewhere in the CCTV footage - I just can’t see this having a happy ending 😞😞 MOO is that he will eventually be found in the water.

There is something odd about his gait imo, like he is in pain or impaired somehow. Anyone else see this? Poor parents, this is awful, I so hope he is found soon.
It looks like his shoes are not on his feet properly. Like he slipped his feet in without putting the heels on fully and he's running to keep them on. JMO

There are so very many places he could have gotten lost or fell. Some of them are obvious and I have to assume they have searched those places already, but LE does sometimes miss things. It would be nice to see his actual path where people have confirmed sightings.

Dotr's article shows a lot.

- The lane is narrow, dark with no man-made paths.
- It's difficult to walk on at night.
- Temperature on that night was 2*C, making it harder.
- It has many access points.
- Area is extremely remote.

"It's not unusual for Aryan to go out for a walk. We know he would go out for a walk late at night when he was back in London and in shorts with his quite distinctive long black trench coat," says Detective Inspector Jonathan Dickens.

This makes me think that he did it intentionally.

However, on a side note,

Glenda Keal (Reported December 7, 2025), Mark Parry (Last Seen December 3, 2025), and Aryan Sharma (Last seen November 22, 2025) are three missing people. I marked their last seen locations on the map- all 21-22 minutes from each other. Mark Parry's death is not being treated as suspicious, though, so this is just an observation. Foul play possible?

Little creepy when I add in Shahab Uddin (August 21, 2025) found at One Ash Roundabout. Does make you wonder.

His family said he used to go out for a walk when he lived in London. Well, what he was doing on the night he went missing, clearly isn't a simple walk.

Why anyone would go out when it's wet, damp, cold and only 2°C late at night for a walk? Unless it was pre-planned to meet someone maybe? Or a mental break?

Also, the manner is which is he running is very strange. I'd like friends or family to confirm if he always ran like that. It's very unusual.

Is there no CCTV anywhere from before the running clip? He was somewhere in the town for 3 hours between leaving his residence and being sighted running down the road.

Where was he? By himself? Or with someone? Or at someone's house?

Also the place he went missing from: quite rural, dark, no footpath, difficult to walk.....I wonder if he had ever been there before? Or did he just keep running and heading away from the town centre until he found countryside...?

The police don't really seem to have come up with any more details, which is disappointing.

MOO.

I totally agree about the running. If he was 'out for a walk' it sure doesn't look like it.

Re. the path he took, I do remember as a young person going to the actual countryside on my own for the first time and being absolutely SHOCKED by how dark it was. Me and a friend went camping and decided to cycle somewhere in the afternoon. By the time we were heading back night had fallen and we were completely unprepared. No lights on our bikes, no reflective clothing, the only way we could see where we were going was if a car drove past we had to follow its headlights. In those days we didn't have mobiles with torches, but we probably hadn't charged our phones anyway.

If Aryan is a Londoner then he may have been similarly caught out by straying beyond the town centre. We haven't been given any info about his phone, where it last pinged etc, but even if it had a torch facility on it as many do these days, there's no guarantee it had enough battery left at that time of night. Most people charge their phones through the night, not during the day. And using the torch drains the battery fast.

There doesn't seem to be a thread for Shahab, so posting this here. His death is being treated as 'unexplained' and the police have referred themselves to the watchdog over their investigation. Extremely troubling.

"Leicestershire Police has referred itself to the police watchdog over its response to a missing person report.

Shahab Uddin was reported missing from the Loughborough area to the force in the early hours of 13 August.

Officers discovered the 40-year-old's body near the A6 in the town on Thursday following a search operation involving multiple agencies.

Now the force says following an "internal review" into its initial response to the missing person report, it had made a mandatory referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
An IOPC spokesperson said: "We have received a referral from Leicestershire Police and will make a decision on what further action, if any, may be required from the IOPC in due course."

Police said they were treating Mr Uddin's death as "unexplained" and an investigation into the circumstances is ongoing."

ETA: I have made a thread for Shahab:
