I think I found a couple of Instagram accounts that could be his - I’m not 100% sure they are his, but they are linked to his cousin and say ‘Aryan’ for the name and follow some Loughborough uni accounts. I won’t post them because one has nothing posted (and says ‘inactive’ in the blurb bit) and the other is private so nothing useful that I can see.

Edited to add: the inactive one is definitely him (I found a pic he was tagged in from freshers week a couple of years ago), so it seems reasonable to link it: @sas_07575
Am I right in thinking if he’s a third year student he wouldn’t be in halls picking up on an earlier query re Aryans living arrangements/housemates.
Also would this mean an increasing pressure of coursework so might explain a mental health crisis?

I haven’t looked into the course he was doing, but when I was at uni (many years ago) staying in halls was common only really among first year and final year students.
If nothing else, sadly, being a young man makes mental health issues a real likelihood.

At my university first year and third years could live in halls, majority first years but some hard working third years. Never second years. Agree about increasing pressure of work, not to mention the uncertainty of joining the workforce at the end of the year, with job prospects and your whole 'future' suddenly ahead of you not in education etc.

In the footage, I'm not sure if he was running away or towards something. I don't think it was out of fear as someone who was truly scared wouldn't have their hands in their pockets. Also, the van that went onto the road next to him slowed down, whether out of concern or something else, I'm not sure but if the police were able to identify the van, maybe they can say some clues or necessary information regarding this case. Also, it could be the same phenomenon of a young male university student being found sadly in the nearby river, given the path/map that was shown. Other than this, i am not sure what else but I am skeptical about what could've likely happened that night. Also, if he was in the city, surely there must be more CCTV, so there could be a possibility that they are keeping information that could probably help this case.
