rbbm. speculation, imo.I wish I could find the article I read earlier today but the wording made me sit up and take notice.
It said that the older daughter had been TRACED and was being supported by Social Services.
Does this mean that she was NOT found in the home with Innes? Had he "given" her to someone else?
Made my skin crawl when I read that. Anyone else thinking what I'm thinking?

Thank you!By Marriage to her sponsor, her husband who lives in North View, Staple Hill, Bristol which is shown in news articles as being her previous address in the UK before moving to the emergency homeless housing at Fairview Kingswood.
I'm guessing the reason for the older child being in the care of social services is one of two reasons...
1. The family are unable to care for her, health/other children and not enough room/too elderly etc
2. The child is very traumatised and needs specialist care and support which family members can't provide at this time.

You touched on something i suspect others have suspected but only alluded to.
Either way, BB and her children have not been treated well, they did not deserve it.
Sick sadistic and weak men prey on women who only want the best for their kids.

Thank you!
So was she married here in the UK or the Philippines?
The wording in foreign press always makes me sit up and take notice since the language used from one place may not mean at all, what it means in another place, somewhere else in the world. Or, it may mean exactly the same thing but use different words. Often this is exactly the case.
In this instance, I took it to mean that the 7 yr. old had been located (traced) and was being assisted (supported) by the local family/child social services. The same as any minor child here in Canada or the US, would be.
My only question now is WHY?
Why the mom?
Why the 2 year old?
Why NOT the other child?
While I'm so incredibly glad she was spared, what reasons can this man possibly give, for why he did what he did? So many lives so tragically altered forever, by his decisions.

I’m a little confused here; I’d assumed, possibly wrongly that JB was from BB’s relationship/marriage to Mr Burke given they all shared a surname. Was JB born before Bennylynn arrived in the UK then?Shella Aquino, sister of Bennylyn Burke, said her sibling moved to the UK from the Philippines in 2019, in search of a better life for her children.
Me too! More information on Bennylynn's back story would help!I’m a little confused here; I’d assumed, possibly wrongly that JB was from BB’s relationship/marriage to Mr Burke given they all shared a surname. Was JB born before Bennylynn arrived in the UK then?

I am wondering whether the UK sponsor/spouse was aware of the children and was expecting them to arrive? Likewise the Defendant?
Had she packed up her home in Bristol and moved to Scotland or are they belongings still in the Bristol flat. How long had she been in temporary housing?

Due to some past conversations with older men these women are VERY vulnerable and easy to target :-(
Older man going to Asia, namely the Philippines, searching for really young women, many of them not even fully grown women yet is well known. Many of these young women agree to get married because that will give them the chance to escape poverty and other awful living situations. We don't know if this happened to Bennylyn but it's very possible.I don't follow. What is wrong with older men? Who are "these" women and what makes them vulnerable? How do you know the victim in this case is part of "these" women? What sort of "target"? Do you mean target in that all victims were targeted generically? Please expand your comment.

I agree with your comment and was actually my first train of thought. I think Bennylyn's back story will tell us a lot.Older man going to Asia, namely the Philippines, searching for really young women, many of them not even fully grown women yet is well known.
