Age is not an exact match, and like you noted later, some other details don't match either.

Earlier today I found five different people with the same name on Google on the first result page alone. Now it's starting to get flooded with crime news. It seems like his is a common name and I imagine there are a few innocent Andrews getting really nasty messages right now. Since the suspect's occupation is now public, that should help weed out some of the wrong hits.

I have mutual friends with him, there may be a slightly murky past but does appear quite normal and intelligent on social media.

I don’t believe this is him. That’s the one I alluded to earlier. The ages don’t match. Plus he would struggle to get a visa for Japan and USA if it was him

Well this is a case I don’t really want to check in on. A special place in hell for folk like that. No obvious ties to the girl, he got her to his family home and apparently murdered her and a baby soon after, keeping a 7 year old alive for means unknown.

he also posted about his new flooring on Facebook on the 17th.

I don’t think I will check in on this case as I don’t want to know it I’m afraid. Stay safe folks

Incidentally, and it’s just been highlighted to me, his Facebook profile has had all posts from 11th February removed. As many of these had replies and likes, I am assuming it was done by police with Facebook and not the chap or his relatives.

the reason I know this is when taking a look, alongside loads of snp politics, he spent 3 days from 17th February relaying the floor in the kitchen and what looked like an octagonal conservatory.

the guy just looked “Normal” and “calm” in talking about the great work.

The conservatory was there before the 17th I believe, there are photos of it from earlier than that date.

EDIT - though maybe you meant the floor in the conservatory was relaid and not the structure itself? My apologies if so.

Is that him? DMA Design went on to become Rockstar North. They’re the creators of Grand Theft Auto, not a good look.

I also noticed an Andrew Innes from
Troon Avenue started their own company called Rampant Games recently.

I was reading the thread yesterday because Bennylyn Burke lived near me, and I registered because I had the horrible realisation that I used to walk past her and her girls every day on my way to work. One of the reasons I recognised her from the photos is that she was a very, very petite lady (you can see in the released photo how small she is compared to the door handle etc) - perhaps 4’10 at most and very slender. She’d have been completely defenceless against an adult man, even more so than most women. I hope this man goes away for a long, long time.

How did Bennylyn know this guy? Was there some type of relationship?

Is there any truth to the "story" that Bennylyn was living in a home for abused women?

We don't have any confirmation on any of that yet. Will be interesting to see what happened.

Just started reading this last night and it is sounding absolutely awful - I have tried to find more info on him but all I can find is his FB and that he has developed 4 apps which are on Google Play, IF they met through a dating site he must have been VERY convincing for her to travel all that way with her 2 young kids JMO

I can only assume they did meet by a dating site as unless she was studying Japanese I don't see any other connection? I have in the past been on a dating site and would never consider moving somewhere with my kids to live with a man I'd met online suddenly so can only assume he promised her the world and a good life for her kids. More difficult as nothing of Bennylyns background has been revealed. Is Bennyln Burke her real name even, it may be different if she is filipino which I believe she is. Surely neighbours woud notice if he suddenly had a young woman and 2 kids staying? Did they arrive in the cover of darkness and not venture out whatsoever??

To me personally that would be risky especially during lockdown, carrying 2 dead bodies in his car and an alive child? Also surely there would be forensics etc at her home as well but LE have turned it over to Tayside Police (covers Dundee)

It appears the potential murders happened in his house.

I do think he perhaps collected them alive and drove them to his home but I would imagine CCTV would capture that evidence
