Oh cripes, I'd totally misread that article when it was published. I didn't realise they'd been sending messages from her phone for almost TWO MONTHS. I remember it only being a couple of weeks. This must be how they got the mother, because they could've found out who was where when messages were sent (bit of a tongue twister!).

I messaged the Peterborough Telegraph yesterday asking for news on the mother's plea. Waiting to hear back. Shall post immediately if they respond.

I definitely read this wrong too! I was sure there was only 2 texts?

Is it possible to tell what this is for? Just a normal hearing or something else?

Alyce is legend.

'The mum of missing Peterborough teenager Bernadette Walker has pleaded guilty to two counts of perverting the course of justice'. Ooer!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow! I wasn’t expecting that.

Why, oh why, would the mother of a missing child send messages from her phone for any reason other than to make it look like she's still alive? I'm not going to rack my brains over this, it's a foregone conclusion as far as I'm concerned. What on earth happened in that household?

  • #233
It's not like she was besotted with the stepfather. It's *grabs popcorn* time in the PT comments section.

So she admits the phone manipulation and dodgy police statements. But denies she knew B was dead.

From the same article
“Scott Walker denied all four counts of perverting the course of justice.”

Not only claiming he didn’t kill her, now claiming he did nothing amiss in his statements to police and with B’s phone.

So either they’re not on the same page with their stories or maybe he will throw her under the bus?

While I firmly believe ScW to be the main culprit, a crazy but not impossible twist could be that SaW did it, or got ScW to do it, and he's been covering for her all along. His posts tell us he was infatuated with SaW, not the other way round.

I'm shocked she has pleaded Guilty!
This is such a confusing case, what on earth happened?!

  • #238
Really interested to hear what comes out in this trial!

  • #239
Could it be that she will continue to assert her innocence, but saw this as the least worst way of getting out?

  • #240
Well, I certainly didn't see that coming!

I think this is some more manipulation/deflection/mind games stuff with these two.

imo
