This isn’t getting much publicity, compared to Sarah Everard.

They are understood to have discovered the teen's headphones and a pouch of tobacco at a bus stop.

Her mobile phone has also been handed into police, it is reported.

Am I reading this correctly - does it mean her phone was found elsewhere ?

Amanda Issacs, 34, said .........I live next door and I'm a close family friend, she's not one to just disappear, it's very odd.

"She's a very in girl, she is very family orientated, she's got a boyfriend - he's ever so nice - and a few friends. She's just a lovely girl and this is so out of character for her.

Brother of missing teen, 18, says 'someone has my sister' after she vanishes

Not got a good feeling about this, foul play I think...

I wondered about someone she knows offering her a lift, but then leaving her things behind wouldn't make sense.

My guess would be she was wearing her ear pods on her walk to get the bus. She could have been rolling a cigarette as she was walking or waiting at the stop.

You have got me thinking there.

Do you think it is plausible that she was listening to music on her phone as she was walking to the bus stop; she arrived at the stop and was preoccupied with rolling a cigarette while she was waiting and was approached by an assailant and snatched?

Perhaps she did not hear the car or line of a potential abductor approach because of the music she was listening to. She was approached and reached for her phone to turn off the music and take off her ear buds and at that point was pulled into transport leaving her possessions behind... Any thoughts?

Those have definitely been my thoughts too. Only difference being - she probably didn't stop the music or whatever she was listening to. From my experience they just tend to take one ear pod out rather than go to the effort of turning it off .

This isn’t getting much publicity, compared to Sarah Everard.

Sarah Everett initially received so much publicity for a variety of reasons; her friends had connections to the media and were very pro active using their contacts . Secondly it happened during lockdown and there was not much other news apart from Covid related articles.

It is very plausible, unfortunately. My view is that wearing earphones / listening to music is probably the worst thing you can do, especially at night, in terms of situational awareness and personal safety. Personal opinion only, of course. I know there is the whole "victim blaming" side of things and, yes, people should be able to walk around with fear of attack or abduction.

I'm not clear on where the earphones were found. Were they actually at the bus stop or were they on the grass behind?

I've heard both versions but it's not been officially stated.

News article

So sad they have quickly arrested 2 people so must have had information come in

I'd like to know details on how they knew to go after the two arrested. Did they know her? I'm trying to figure out how they got her to go with them? Surely there were people out and walking in the area at that time. Although being abducted in public happens all the time and no one sees anything. Wild.

It's an awful thought but if these are responsible it seems unlikely she went with them voluntarily...if reports of her belongings still being near the bus stop are correct

  • #58
Let's hope they have enough evidence to charge them. I guess they must have though to have arrested them so quickly.

Really sad to read this update.

They've moved very quickly with the arrests.

Police hunting missing teenager Bobbi-Anne Mcleod, 18, find woman's body and arrest two men | Daily Mail Online

Miss McLeod's brother Lee had previously begged for help finding her in a Facebook post, three days after she vanished.

It came after police discovered her headphones and her tobacco pouch at a bus stop while her phone was handed in.

Mr McLeod wrote on Facebook : 'Police have rung and someone has handed in Bobbi's mobile.

'I'm begging everyone single person in Plymouth help me search everywhere search everything.

'Her headphones and baccy were found at the bus stop and there's just no trace. It has been sealed off and forensics are there today. Her phone has been handed in [to police] too.
