GUILTY UK - Bobbi-Anne Mcleod,18, ‘did not arrive to meet friends’ Plymouth, 20 Nov 2021 *Arrest*

Terrible news, poor girl.

Having them arrested so quickly made me think who handed the phone in. Did someone take it from the bag then changed their mind or did she drop it when abducted and someone found it (but wouldn't they also find the bag too? Why take phone only?) or perhaps the abductor disposed of it and someone found it? Or abductor handed phone in. Just speculation only.

Did she have a bag? Many girls that age just take their phone, cigarettes if they smoke, and maybe a credit card and/or travel card, and perhaps a lip balm, and just put in pocket.

It was said the phone was handed in by a member of the public no doubt.

I was thinking about this yesterday. She had on a Nike jumper which I would guess had no pockets as it wasn't described as a hoody. That only leaves jeans which would be a struggle to fit ear pods, baccy, bank card and phone I would imagine.

Not been on a bus for some time so not sure if they take a card. Is it still only cash or bus pass?

You get a ticket on an app on your phone -

A lot of young people buy bus tickets online so they are on their phone

Card, cash, pass or app. Its quite flexible on the buses. She also may not have had a proper wallet but one on her phone instead.

Edit: she also could have had a weekly or day rider ticket which has a QR code on to scan as you get on.

If the house in the above link is connected to the case. It is interesting that she attended a youth club in the same district at some point. According to Plymouth youth services social media

At 6pm, Bobbi-Anne left her home in Milwood Drive wearing a grey Nike hoodie, blue ripped jeans and white Nike trainers.

Chilling last moments of Bobbi-Anne who vanished just 15 mins after leaving home

I live quite locally. It’s only a few minutes away by car with good public transport. Its likely she would have gone to school or at least have friends in the area of the house being searched because the areas are next to each other, only separated by a main road and a supermarket.

I'm wondering if she wasn't 'abducted' from the bus stop but, offered a lift from familiar faces and went in the car willingly - Then after whatever happened, happened - The perpetrators then drove back and threw her belongings in the bus stop area.

I wonder if they both had access to the same car/van and it has been proved the 26 year old was not driving or a passenger in it at the time Bobbi was abducted.

I see thank you .. its difficult to judge on a map the context of the different areas

Yep, Plymouth isn’t that big a city really , leigham being family houses heavy, with a lot of families having brought little ones into the world and they too now live in or near Leigham .

it’s not an area that generally you hear there’s been any trouble

* I tried to quote Ashbeck - but failed , sorry

would make sense
When there were 2 arrests (and talk about more) I must admit my hunch was that it surely WASN'T some group of guys how kidnapped, raped and killed her as was implied. Would be odd considering how soon and where she was found etc. I'd imagine 'group think' would result in a different plan in terms of getting rid of the body too etc.
I'm guessing a lone guy. Bit of a struggle. kidnap. rape. murder :(

Police forensics team search home in Plymouth four miles from where Bobbi-Anne McLeod vanished | Daily Mail Online

Police have said there is 'no known link' between a 24-year-old murder suspect and Bobbi-Anne McLeod as they continued to search a house four miles from where she vanished.

Devon and Cornwall Police said they had not established a connection between the man and the 18-year-old girl but were keeping him in custody for another day for questioning.

Meanwhile another man, 26, has been released with no further action after also being arrested on suspicion of murder.

It comes as police forensic investigators are searching a home in Plymouth four miles from where Bobbi-Anne vanished.

Officers cordoned off a property in Southway today with residents reporting their arrival from 8am. Photos taken in the area show police tape draped across hedges leading to one of the properties.

Devon and Cornwall Police refused to confirm or deny if the activity is connected to the ongoing investigation into the disappearance and murder of Bobbi-Anne.

Murder investigation, Plymouth

UPDATE 3pm: One remains in police custody

Assistant Chief Constable Nikki Leaper said: “A significant number of enquiries and searches have been carried out overnight and into today in relation to the ongoing murder investigation in Plymouth. These enquiries remain on going across a number of scenes in and around the city.

“Earlier today, a 26-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder, was released from police custody having been eliminated from the enquiry.
“A 24-year-old man remains in police custody at this time on suspicion of murder under a warrant of further detention.

“This warrant enables police to extend the time in which a person can be detained within police custody whilst an investigation is ongoing.”

The family of Bobbi-Anne continue to be supported by specialist officers.
ACC Leaper continued: “I can confirm that at this time, there is no known link between the suspect and victim and I would like to reassure the public that at this time, we are not seeking anyone else in relation to this matter.

“This remains a developing and active case and as such we would remind everyone not to speculate in relation to this matter. It is crucial that we uphold the integrity of this investigation at all times.

“Once again, I give my utmost thanks to the public and communities in Plymouth who continue to be supportive of our enquiries.”

Specialist resources are supporting officers on the ground to carry out enquiries at a number of locations and these are likely to continue over the coming days. During that time the public are likely to see an increased visible policing presence.

Anyone with information which may assist the ongoing investigation is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 706 22/11/21.

Road closure: The Bovisand road will be closed for police access over the next day or so. Residents requiring access will be spoken to and officers at the closure can be approached for assistance if needed.
