I wonder how that played out then, with police not knowing Chloe's identity for 24 hours. I presume all in the house denied knowing who she was.

It hasn't been reported if Chloe was stabbed outside in the street, or if it happened in the house. I know the knife was found in the street, but she and the knife could have been moved there.

"Now, West Yorkshire Police are desperately hunting for the footage which allegedly captured Chloe's stabbing. Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector James Entwistle said: "This senseless, tragic death has caused unimaginable grief for Chloe's family, friends, and across communities. Officers are still working to piece together everything that happened that night.

"Our inquiries suggest this murder might have been captured on a mobile phone and that a video is circulating around social media. My appeal is for anyone who knows of, has seen, or has that video. Please get in touch. We need that video...Chloe's family needs answers as to why she died."

Information can be submitted to West Yorkshire Police here

Footage 'may be being shared on TikTok or Snapchat'

“We believe this footage, which we understand may be being shared on TikTok or Snapchat, will lead us to the truth about what happened in Kennerleigh Avenue in Austhorpe in the early hours of last Saturday.

“I am urging anyone who has it to submit it to us by using the Major Incident Public Portal on the link below.”

Just adding this for info....

Kayla Smith, 18, of Kennerleigh Avenue, Archie Rycroft, 19, of Middleton Park Road, and a 17-year-old boy who cannot be named for legal reasons, were charged with murder earlier this week and appeared at Leeds Magistrates' Court.
Mr Rycroft pleaded not guilty to two charges of burglary and one of theft, relating to separate incidents in March. The 17-year-old boy pleaded not guilty to a separate charge of burgling a house in August.
Smith and Rycroft were remanded into custody, while the 17-year-old was remanded into secure accommodation until today's hearing. They will appear before the Recorder of Leeds, His Honour Judge Guy Kearl, at around 11.15am.

[...]

The brief hearing, in which no pleas were entered, scheduled a provisional three-week trial for November 10. A pre-trial hearing was set for May 1.

The court was also told a second post-mortem examination for the victim was not required, which would be a comfort to her family.

The court heard that a 'significant' amount of evidence relates to mobile phones.

Police have confirmed a seventh arrest has been made. A 14-year-old boy who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested earlier today (Thursday, April 2) on suspicion of murder. The boy remains in custody at this time.

In my opinion this is the kid who took the mobile phone footage.

I’ll keep it vague but I know someone who knows Kayla’s circumstances, and let’s just say not many people will be sorry to see her locked up.

The 17 year old boy was seeing both girls, and probably should be locked up too for his part in this. My opinion etc etc.

I always felt he was playing both sides. Interesting cags. Good to see you.

I have quite a clear picture in my mind of what went on here. The fact that not one person saw a single consequence is scary.

Teenager Chloe Watson Dransfield was killed by a stab wound to her chest, a coroner has said.

[...]

Mr Longstaff said it was “inevitable” that the conclusion of the inquest would be postponed, but described it as a “violent” and “very sad death”.
