its probably just banter, I agree...and I really dont think dan was involved as an ex boyfriend....but it would be interesting to know if there was any connection. between dan and claudia and the drugs supply chain.

not that im doubting kirs assertion about the. Manchester drop.....but there seems to have been a more mundane connection between York and the north east

According to a Mirror article Claudia met Dan in a bar when he was in Malton following a rugby tournament

Mirror article states the day we met Dan, who believes he is the only one of 35-year-old Claudia’s long-term boyfriends who wasn’t married or attached, met her in April 2004, when he visited her home town of Malton, Yorks, for a rugby tournament.

“I saw her sitting there on her own, talking to the bar staff and thought who’s the stunning blonde?” he says. “She looked radiant – full of life. We got chatting, and at the end of the night we swapped numbers.”

The pair had their first date a week later and an intense, whirlwind romance followed.

“Claudia is a kind, beautiful girl who was desperate to be loved,” says Dan. “There was a very romantic side to her, which made her naive about men, more naive than you’d expect for a woman of her age.

“She was quite gullible in fact. And that’s the concern – that she’s now come to harm because of a guy she might have fallen for.”

In July 2004 they flew to Cyprus for a two-week holiday in Cyprus. They enjoyed it so much that they went back the next month. And the following year they returned for a third holiday.

In August 2006 they split but stayed in phone contact.

do you think that Claudia had possibly given something to DW that may have been linked to the person/persons that killed her.

It just strikes me as an odd remark to make one minute your talking about food the next about a deceased ex girlfriend

did claudia steal something she gave to dan or give him something....maybe drugs....that she couldn't afford to pay for when required.

its maybe a bit of a long shot, but unless its just a nonsensical remark, thats the only thing I can think of

My thoughts: He (DKW) got "meat" (Claudia) when he was stealing it from someone, for that Claudia had to die sometime later (indirectly).
Who was the last official "boyfriend" before DKW came into the play?
Who was the most dangerous one within Claudia's entourage?
Who wouldn't have allowed to steal "his meat"?
What did Claudia tell this DKW?

thats possible too....but I dont think so....though im not saying its impossible.

I think claudia had slept with a lot of men in-between....according to dan, it was all over between them, but someone else said she was considering reviving the affair.

so maybe it was the emotional tie, or the prospect of her maybe moving away, rather than her having sex with someone else that angered someone.

maybe the police would like to ask him

its sad to say it, but I dont think anyone was that bothered about claudia....I dont think there was another steady boyfriend around at the time, and, if it was a matter of pride, I think there had been a lot of men since the guy shed lived with

Well they entered the U.K. a few days prior claudias disappearance and who suzy suggested Claudia was sat with a group of unknowns. Perhaps trafficking in and out of the country!eg drugs etc. Say now Friday Claudia said this to either group and perhaps say Ruanes etc decided to take there goods as they stopped for a visit , or vice versa. Perhaps it all kicked off on Wednesday night and all got out of the way after the deal was done. They timed there stop and friends realised Thursday something was wrong and Friday morning had to call peter as she hadn’t turned up! Claudias drunken mouth had said too much and she was worried of the consequences after. There’s a reason jen says claudias not seen dan in years and yet Friday says it was dan, I’ve messaged him considering he would be your last thought. Cyprus lot knew Claudia had grassed them up to her local lads and someone had to pay for it. This is not what I think but a scenario that’s plausible. It costs a lot for 4 people to do the route they did and back for a van? And drive through York and not a hello to a friend, perhaps they stayed with Claudia just prior Scotland or on route back.

yes, thats possible...if Jen said claudia hadn't seen dan in years, why did another friend...I think it was sc....said she was thinking of getting back together with him.

I think the it, in if you've got it probably refers to drugs....I dont think claudia would steal...but who knows....she seems to have been very keen on dan and could have stolen for him.

another possibility could be that claudia had bought drugs for dan and couldn't pay her Heworth supplier for them...hence avoiding the nags...and then the big boys rolled into town and wanted the Heworth lot to settle up.

everything we say is speculation, of course, but I think the police should question dan and his friends

They wanted to be with her... she lighted up the room the light of the party if you like .No one that knew her well would want her dead imo

Not on subject pj3, just curious to wether you know or it has been said overtime firstly how did jen end up living with Claudia around 13 months considering it was Nov 2007 she moved in as that would make it nearly the whole duration of Claudia living there. Secondly suzy lived in tang hall so why was the nags her local? They knew each other prior Claudia living in heworth obviously as suzy said around three years,or... the short period of ownership in 2006 -Nov 2007 was claudias mortgage being stopped and restarted and had lived at 46 3 years . The mortgage was due to something regarding property not secure.also the alarm was set off in claudias home after her disappearance, was it an attempted break in? Also what was the concern peter had or why did he believe his phone was hacked ? Just trying to clear up thoughts on my mind x
