Two houses nearby to Miss Lawrence's are being searched by police.
A resident living near one of the houses said police arrived at around 7am today.
Tommy Ward, 81, said: 'It started off with one police car then a few more came. 'It was just around about 7am when everything started up.
'I was outside my house watching the world go by at the time. 'I haven't seen anyone arrested but a few weeks ago some sniffer dogs were
there in the same house. We've had dogs a few times now. I don't know the person who lives there.'

This confirms that the full extent of police searches has been beyond our knowledge.

The DM have a few pics now. Shows 2 of the homes being searched are in Heworth Road (opposite Claudias) and Heworth Place

Ok this is getting really interesting. You will notice that one of the properties in the DM photos matches an address I have posted about previously (look back - I don't want to go into details now for obvious reasons), and another one looks like it's the back gate to the same property. This property was sold on after the event, so I doubt this an address of one of the arrested men - but we probably already know who previously owned this. Well, well.

Claudia Lawrence: three men arrested on suspicion of missing chef's murder

Martin Dales, speaking on behalf of Peter Lawrence, Claudia’s father, cautioned that the family had been disappointed before after what seemed to be breaks in the case.

“Let’s hope it’s something tangible,” he told the BBC, adding that the twists and turns in the investigation have been “stomach churning” for the family. “You think you’re getting somewhere but no,” he added.

“It’s been a long time coming,” he said of the latest arrests.

It seems almost certain that someone killed her, whether deliberately or not. And his friends helped him cover it up.

Not sure which properties RC owned but I think you're right, Sar. I believe his family took on some of them, as there is a home rental business which appears to be linked to him.

I have also checked on one of Claudia's "friends" who I find has lived in both H.Rd and H.Place, in fact seems to be registered at both in 2015. These men and houses are all going to link up I think.

Does anyone think they know who's been arrested??

I imagine such a large estate needed to pay quite a lot of inheritance tax, so some of his properties would need to be sold off to pay that.

Well my Mum just dropped a doozie on me. Turns out my old neighbour (next door to the house I grew up in) is good friends with Peter Lawrence, and has helped in the search for Claudia! I had no flipping idea!

Where does Peter Lawrence live anyway? I know mum is in Malton area (she's the mayor I think), is that where Claudia grew up too?

You will probably find all arrested men in the book of condolences? Were they mourning a murdered person 3 (4) weeks before and a deceased person at the same time?

It's probably nothing but when the alley was searched a few weeks ago the tape said "Police Line - do not cross".

The tape in today's pictures say "Crime Scene - Do Not Enter".

At the address nearest to Miss Lawrence home, uniformed police wearing face masks could be seen carrying out brown evidence bags.

At another property, forensics officers wearing white protective suits were clearly at work.

Each of the houses is under police guard.

If that's the case what on earth does the one have on the others that no-one has broken ranks during all these years?

They must all be very cold hearted to have kept that secret from those around them
