Just returning to the Tom McDermott podcast series. There are quite a few pretty irrelevant avenues there, I think. But one or two interesting points. Firstly, I think he's the only journalist to have got a statement (albeit very brief) from PR. The point about PR knowing her father for 20 years was interesting. Second was the set of issues around keys and access to the house. Her keys were not located by the initial investigation as far as we know. Perhaps most importantly this raises a risk that offender(s) accessed the house in the immediate aftermath and altered the scene. And there is plausible evidence of (apparently) unforced and unauthorised access to the house in recent years. I wouldn't go further than "plausible" as it's possible Joan and Tom's recollections aren't accurate - but they aren't easy to dismiss.
