Just returning to the Tom McDermott podcast series. There are quite a few pretty irrelevant avenues there, I think. But one or two interesting points. Firstly, I think he's the only journalist to have got a statement (albeit very brief) from PR. The point about PR knowing her father for 20 years was interesting. Second was the set of issues around keys and access to the house. Her keys were not located by the initial investigation as far as we know. Perhaps most importantly this raises a risk that offender(s) accessed the house in the immediate aftermath and altered the scene. And there is plausible evidence of (apparently) unforced and unauthorised access to the house in recent years. I wouldn't go further than "plausible" as it's possible Joan and Tom's recollections aren't accurate - but they aren't easy to dismiss.

The podcast is weak in my opinion, although I appreciate anyone trying to get answers, but it leaves more questions than answers.
The meeting with one of the supposed suspects was also a waste of time as it looks like nothing has changed. The only new information I know of is what Mark Williams Thomas said when he played the recording of said arrested man saying “ don’t worry we’ve got the back passage covered” and that she was rumoured to be buried in the sea

The sound quality isn't good enough for the standard TikTok caption generator. It only gets the section about the back passage being covered. What I hear in the rest of the clip is that one of the people arrested (alleged to be PR on other websites) was alleged to have said "they're just the keystone cops", implying he thought his plans were outsmarting the police. And that an undercover officer using the name, Peter Stone (?), had lived with them for 15 months.

I watched this video. It concentrated on Claudia's private life and the presenters believed that one of her manyboyfriends had done her in. They speculated that boyfriends included police officers and a traveller. I hadn't realised the extent of her private life.

It grates with me to say it yiven whom it comes from(!), but I do think this interview by MWT is the most interesting new development in the case to be made public for a long time.

Does anyone think that the fishing lake search was a spoof tip off from someone involved ? It all seemed a bit odd.

Why would one of the suspected 4 have an undercover officer living with them for 15 months? None of this makes any sense. You wouldn’t just meet someone and get close then decide to let them stay with you for 15 months would you ?

And surely if you’re involved in a potential murder you’d realise people would be watching and trying to catch you out surely?

Obviously good questions! But the alternatives are even more puzzling. Why would one of the four make up a story like this and go public with it, if it weren't true? Or why would MWT fake an interview to this effect? They seem even more far-fetched, I think.
