Why is the DTA for Gordon only?

I can’t think of any other long running trials there. I have asked the guy on Twitter if he means Mark so hopefully he’ll answer. Might explain the delay.

I imagine there’s reporting restrictions, especially if he hasn’t been charged yet so they can’t name who the defendant is.

JMO but I don't believe a defendant, who is currently on remand, would be allowed to sit in a public area, outside the courtroom, even if handcuffed.

I know it’s most bizarre. All I can imagine is that there have been so many derailments that the judge has decided to just get it done in whatever way is possible.

Obviously it might be a total coincidence and it’s another defendant. But you would think that whoever it is, they’re more likely to be in a holding sell.

I do not know (not a criminal lawyer). The only references I can find are in relation to confiscation orders and the DTA 1994.

Isn't the interesting thing here that all it says is 'Reporting Restrictions'. Not 'Summing Up' or 'Legal Submissions', just 'Reporting Restrictions'. It seems that something was going on for 4 1/2 hours that can't be reported.
