I don't expect either of them to speak. The level of paranoia and perceived persecution they've been living with probably means they blame the authorities for the death of the baby. It'll take a while out of the situation to be able to see the bigger picture, if ever.

RIP, little one.

We don't know that they carried the baby's body around though do we? We don't know if the baby was discarded or buried in a marked grave in a 'respectful' manner. They wouldn't have thought about the right/legal options or they wouldn't have been in the situation they were in the first place!

Yeah there will be a long list of charges I suspect even if deemed natural causes imo
I cannot share your sentiments.

We know enough to consider this not an "unexplained" death, but rather an avoidable death.

Since they have yet to behave in a respectful manner, I will withhold from giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Sadly this is the outcome that we all feared, I did think that posters who were saying maybe a friend or someone was looking after the baby were reaching.

Rest in peace little one.
Theoretically, if anyone would have the contacts to do this it would be someone with her background and connections so it isn't that beyond the realms of possibility.
I believe that the blame rests 100% with the "parents" in this case. They concealed the pregnancy. How could anyone protect a baby no one knew existed until the placenta was found?
They made dangerous choices when they did not access medical care before birth and abandoned a car on fire on foot before it was even on the media.
<modsnip - OFF LIMITS>
Personally I don't think there was such a media frenzy. Even last week staff at the food bank did not know who they were.
All MOO.
Telltale is right, this will be the fault of police/SS for not telling the public why they were worried. It's always a balance between privacy of the child and public awareness

They didn't even give it a proper burial. They just left it in the woods. Very upsetting. R.I.P. little baby
This is what makes me angry. I'm very open minded re what happened, was it nautral, avoidable, unavoidable or intentional, we can't possibly know yet. But that does not change the fact they just left them in the woods and wouldn't reveal the location or even the gender.

As I've already said up thread I suspect cause of death will be from the cold or malnutrition....if not worse. However until we know for certain, all possibilities are on the table imo

To be fair we've not been told how the body was found. It may have been buried as respectfully as they could under the circumstances. IMO

I'm sure the baby's death was unavoidable though.

my heart breaks for this little bundle that wasn't even given a fair chance.

i am so upset that this is the outcome of it all, but from the beginning, the focus of these two was NOT the child's best interest, <modsnip - OFF LIMITS> obviously, i will say for the two parents, mental health was a serious issue, and though i can't know the details, i am sure that this plays a part in the choices that they made. we had information, though, that this man was once (does that go away?) severely disturbed from a very young age and the crimes he committed was extremely violent and sick. the fact that she stayed with this man,<modsnip - OFF LIMITS>, losing a life of her own, in fact, shows where her priorities were, and they were not on the child as unfortunately we see with the heartbreaking news today.

however, this does not take away from the horrific abuse of this baby from the beginning. there was no prenatal care, no care afterbirth or for the welfare of this little one and in the end, not even the emotional tie to actually find help or even, and this pains me to even say, stay with this little gift after they were gone. this just shows how heartless these two were. there is no happy perhaps of what could have happened, because this baby was abused and neglected before birth.

from the very beginning of all this, i had a bad feeling about these two and their intentions. whatever spurned their paranoia, fear or whatever, the natural instinct to protect, care for and nuture their child was not there. if there were any people would may have helped them hide from SS or any authorities, i hope that they are also held responsible. this is what seems to be their 4th child. now gone, and they are arguing about going to london while this little body is alone in a field? no. there is no possible reason or excuse for this whole situation.

i hope those responders and LE have a good support to help them to deal with such a devastating find. it is incomprehensible to imagine what that must do to someone.

If that poor baby died from something totally avoidable then they should be done for murder as they knowingly and purposefully put that child in danger. They probably didn't want it to die but they fact they did everything in their power to stop that baby getting everything it needed to survive means they murdered it.

They won't qualify for murder unless there was clear intent to murder

The baby didn't know a house or a bottle. She could have breastfed and kept that baby warm and alive even in those temperatures - women did this many years ago with fewer resources - that's how we are all here! So there must have been further negligence and I do believe avoidable IMO.

Anecdotally, a friend who works for the NHS has told me about a rise in new born deaths - due to parents attempting to provide warmth. And that’s in the home, never mind in freezing temperatures in a tent.

Maybe wait till the facts of the case are clearer before ‘murder’ is banded about though eh?

RIP Little One.
