There's no source given in that post, and the waste transfer station is at Red Lodge. The landfill site is at Milton.
There has been a lot of contradictory information regarding the movements of the bin lorry and the status of various waste sites.
However I think that the fact that they searched the Red Lodge site implies that it was open and that the bin lorry did go there.
There really has been confusion for sure. It would really help if the Police gave more info it really would.
I think quite recently a bit more info (from Police I believe?) came out saying that the bin lorry made more pickups in BSE town centre after the horseshoe pickup and also did pickups (after or before Mildenhall Sainsbury's pickup?) in Ely, Soham and Newmarket before going to Red Lodge? This is a big reason why the phone ping info released (as vague as they are!) make even less sense now.
More disclosure is sorely needed IMO as little of fact can be deduced with the lack of solid detailed information to go on....
