Someone from Bury St Edmunds died after taking drugs at that rave, not sure if anyone was ever charged in relation to that.

  • #302
That guy gave both SP and NU exact details of the vehicle. It's unforgivableI if it has not been checked out. Nr Thetford was also the rave location on the Saturday and another sighting was at Brandon (also near Thetford).

Also the reg is a brand new car (66 = 1 Sep 2016 and I remember it being mentioned the taxi driver was new but I don't have a link for that, only the evidence of the 66 reg number)

It always struck me that once the land fill theory was born, tunnel vision ensued and landfill it was going to be. No other theories considered.

That's right Miss French, but has the area been searched? To my knowledge there are dogging sites near BM. And I also think Corrie dropped his phone at some point, so they went separate ways and therefore aren't comparable.

Yes, the area was searched.

Some info taken from the media thread regarding searches as of SP update from Nov 2016.

"Searches have been carried out in a wide area between Bury St Edmunds, Honington and Barton Mills. This search strategy was put in place by specialist police officers and carried out by police, RAF personnel and volunteers from Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue (SULSAR) and NSARDA (National Search And Rescue Dogs Association).*In the early stages roadsides between Bury St Edmunds and Honington were searched with this being expanded from the roads to surrounding farmland and woodland and to the Barton Mills area. To date searches have been carried out along possible routes between Bury and the base, on a route parallel to the A134 between Honington and Fornham St Martin, on the A1101 between the Fiveways roundabout at Barton Mills and Icklingham, around the Great Livermere area, between the A134 and A143 and in waterways. SULSAR and the RAF have assisted with water searches in the River Lark and in bodies of water and ditches between the town and the base.British Transport Police assisted with searches along the railway line from Bury St Edmunds, while the National Police Air Service helicopter has been carrying out searches throughout the investigation.Specialist RAF search teams have joined Suffolk police officers and Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue volunteers to carry out line searching of wooded areas too. New searches are being considered as the enquiry continues. As well as a team of police search officers, CCTV viewers and detectives carrying out enquiries, a number of other police staff have been supporting the investigation in various areas including to help identify and trace those seen on CCTV and, since the start of the enquiry, uniformed Suffolk officers have carried out visits and checks.*In addition to RAF military police investigators, RAF search personnel and intelligence staff, Suffolk Constabulary are also receiving assistance from other specialist teams from other forces including CCTV viewers from Metropolitan Police. All of Suffolk Police’s work has been reviewed by other forces since the beginning of the investigation to ensure everything possible is being done."

'But Suffolk Police said today that they had located Mr Hawes report, which was not made until November. A spokeswoman said: “No description of the person could be given, and it was said to have been around 4am but the caller could not be specific about the day. The time given was prior to Corrie’s phone leaving Bury St Edmunds and there was nothing to link this to Corrie.'

I dont think its relevant at all when he made the report, its almost as if they are saying well it wasnt made until November, 2 months later therefore its not very reputable, but he may not have even seen this case until 2 months later and reading it may have jogged his memory due to the clothing which stood out, and if he said "around 4am" that's not necessarily proof it was before Corries phone had left BSE, its just a round about time he mentioned, I am guessing the reason he cant be specific about the day was because its now 2 months later, but he he knows it was a Saturday since he always does that route and if they had taken his phone like he suggested, they would have been able to confirm by his own phone pings if he was where he says he was and at what time.

He also doesnt really specify how close he was to the car, just because he ran out doesnt mean he ran so close he was going to hit him, if he was crossing over, adjusted his shoe and then took the chance to run and make it to the other side before the car got to him, Its something I do all the time.. Ill be stood waiting to cross then think screw it, ill make that.. and dart for it. That's how it kinda sounded to me

But how reliable do the Hawes' sound when their claims of the police doing nothing and being blocked by the family are countered here:

If they believed the delivery drivers sighting (and all of this was posted in May 2017) then why did they go back to the landfill/bin lorry theory. I understand no stone should be left unturned but the quote says she believes 100% that he saw him, not even “possibly” saw him. Unless she was misquoted and by the looks of it, it’s never been mentioned again since and this was a year ago.

He couldn’t have been in the bin lorry and subsequently sent to the landfill if that was 100% him an hour later in Barton Mills.

I wonder if there was any CCTV in this area checked such as the Esso Garage if he supposedly disappeared behind it

Adam Billiald has tweeted as recently as April 2 wondering why the taxi driver info hasn't been followed up.

Well that's interesting yet again. Nobody at all came back to him. Understandable that leads and info can be missed but he clearly states he emailed, tweeted and reported it to Crimestoppers and nothing. Perhaps he should try Facebook, they seem to take more notice on there

Quite possibly I don't have the information Corrie's parents have, but goodness I would want these possible sightings investigated if my son had disappeared without a trace.

  • #316
If Roy Hawes account of things are correct in that the family blocked him and didn't want to listen to him then I am guessing any information that might confirm Roy's sighting maybe dismissed. I guess we just don't know the full details. Maybe its because the dogging site is nearby and being brought into question and the family seem to be steering as far away as possibly that something has happened when Corrie has been doing something of a sexual nature.

Deletion of social media accounts, dismissing any notions he could have been gay or any idea that his dating profiles had anything to do with it, now sights of him near a known dogging site.

Right what's our thoughts on family servalennce by the police, I know it's a bit of a dirty question but I think it needs asking , would they need reason off suspicion or could the police get call and internet data just on the of chance with out them knowing,

Why would it be followed up with a third party? The police can go direct to the driver and get better details than a pick-up 'in Suffolk' and if there was anything ongoing it wouldn't be shared anyway.

Scorpio, My thoughts are that it's something that should be checked. Not sure how LE would do it but I don't think they need permission. As dirty as it sounds, so much info has been removed by N , this makes me wonder what else could have been removed or covered up.

I'm still in the mind of AWOL, and this feeling won't subside.

Totally O/T but, Jve just come back from holiday and I've now got blue and yellow pages. What's been going on? Can I change back to the good old pages. I've no thanks button and I hope I've clicked correct thing to reply to your post.
