I wonder who called the police and why? Maybe a neighbour heard something going on in the house.

From @AliceInPain's link:

Detective Chief Inspector Chris Burgess has confirmed that a man, aged 45, and woman, aged 36, and two young children, both girls, were found at the address.

Detective Burgess said that police are aware of a weapon being found near the property.

He said police do not believe it is connected to the incident at this time but they are keeping an open mind as the investigation continues.

He said: "Locals say a knife was found in a woodland area near the house where the four bodies were found.

"Police have not yet said whether it is linked and are forensically investigating the knife to see if it is related."

I am suspecting a murder suicide here, with the potential of a mental health issue leading up to this (considering the earlier disappearance reported). So sad, especially with young children.

A neighbour told the BBC that she knew the family in passing as their children went to school together.

“I only met them sometimes in the street because my son and her kids go to the same school, so we met sometimes in school or in the street and said ‘hello’.”

Officers were called to the same house in December as part of a missing persons inquiry and they will now look back on that incident.

The 45-year-old man who is believed to have died at the house in Costessey has been named locally as Bartlomiej Kuczynski.

Two young children and a 36-year-old woman were also found dead.

Isolated makes me think they're thinking murder-suicide.

What a waste. Two kids with their whole lives ahead of them. I can't tell you how angry these cases make me.
