Police in Ayrshire are becoming "increasingly concerned" about a man missing from his home since Friday.

Donald Keir White, known by friends as Keir, was last seen in Greenhill Terrace, Knockintiber, Kilmarnock at around 6am on Friday, March 30.

The 24-year-old is described as being 6ft, of slim build, with short black hair and a beard.

He was last seen wearing a blue padded work jacket which was covered in paint, as well as black Adidas trainers.

He was carrying a black Nike holdall.

Police are currently hunting for the missing man who was last seen on Greenhill Terrace, Knockentiber.

It is understood the 24-year-old left his phone and wallet with family before he went missing two days ago.

Yes it is worrying Kier hadn't taken his phone or wallet. He is at an age where suicide is a real concern. I wonder if anyone noticed a change in his behaviour particularly during his nightshift. I hope he hasn't had a bad shift and can't cope with life anymore.

Keir is still missing there is no news. I just hope he has taken a break from things and hasn’t harmed himself.

It seems strange to go home from work and leave shortly after without changing clothes or dropping off bag. If it was his bag for work. Small village outside kilmarnock I believe so how did he travel as probably few buses early morning on a bank holiday just random thoughts

I wondered if he maybe got a lift home off a work colleague. I don’t know where his place of work is or if it is nearby. Not changing clothes is another concern for me along with leaving his phone and wallet. Keir’s girlfriend Amy is understandably worried sick about him from media reports. I just hope he knows people care about him and any problems in his life can be addressed.

A BODY has been found in the search for a missing Kilmarnock man who hadn’t been seen since Good Friday.

Now cops have said that the they were called to reports of the body of a man being found in a field near to Greenhill Terrace around 3.30pm this afternoon.

Mr White’s relatives have been made aware of the grim find.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Around 3.20 pm on Monday 2 April 2018, police were called to a report of the body of a man having being found within a field near to Greenhill Terrace.

“Formal identification is yet to take place however it is believed to be Donald Keir White.

“His relatives are aware.

“A post mortem examination will be carried out in due course and the death is not being treated as suspicious.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of former player Keir White.

A good-natured individual, a jovial character & above all a popular lad. He was loved in the dressing room & will be sorely missed.

Our thoughts are with his family, girlfriend & friends at this time.
