I'm sure you're probably right. I think they probably have Michaela's DNA, but I don't think we know that.

And sometimes things just don't work as they should.

I'm just going to submit it, and if Michaela has already been ruled out it should take them all of 10 seconds. No harm done.

You do right. The image did remind me of Michaela (actually, more so her sister). Do you reckon the recent body could be her?

While I'm here, does anyone recall the lady who went missing on the south coast, I think she was an overworked overstressed doctor, but it might have been further along the coast. A year or two ago.

I remember the case, her name was Rose but I can't remember her surname. I think she was a junior doctor. she went missing in Devon. Torquay area springs to mind but her body was found further up the coast, possibly Dorset ?

Funeral to be held for unidentified woman found dead near Birling Gap

She was described as middle aged with shoulder-length reddish brown hair. An inquest in June could not ascertain who she was or how she died.

The woman’s body was recovered by Coastguard and Lifeboat teams after being seen at the shore near the fourth Seven Sister on July 4, 2017.

According to the authorities, no family has come forward to identify her.

Her funeral is to be held on Tuesday, September 25, at Hailsham Cemetary, at 1pm.

All are welcome to attend. And anyone who wishes to send flowers can forward them to Haine and Son, of Polegate.

I might be worth noting that the French authorities published a "Do you know this woman" article mentioning that she might be French as the pendant was a French brand

Welcome to Websleuths Kenova. If you happen to have a link that would be great. Does not matter if in different language. I don't think UK authorities ever mentioned that pendant had any brand so that is quite important information.

Good evening all, this is my first post/comment, on here, so please be nice .

I knew nothing of this lady’s story, until my wife said ‘we are attending the funeral of the unknown lady’. We attended (I’ve seen pictures of myself in the newspaper, we shall not go there ) and what a beautiful day. Who would have thought, that for someone who was unknown, there would be so many attendee’s....then again, with a story as sad, as this lady’s, and the community spirit, this beautiful lady got a send off, even the Queen would have approved of, so lovely to see.

I know if I passed away and no one knew nothing of me, I wouldn’t want my headstone saying ‘the unknown male’, so I’ve been trying my hardest to find a name to this lady and piece together, where she might have come from and a little about her.

Anyways, back to me ‘sleuthing’. I’ve scoured the internet, sent off information/supporting evidence to the local authorities and I’ve not had a reply back, yet. I’m guessing my information turned out to be fruitless/already looked at the names and found out that it wasn’t them.

Now, I’m fully aware that this lady is aged around 25-55, but I’ve found an article of a missing pensioner, from Austria, who suffers from Dementia, who left the care home, where she resided, and the authorities haven’t found anything.

I know we know nothing of this lady, nor of her whereabouts, and I know nothing of bone structure but, could this pensioner be our lady? Or, am I barking up the wrong tree?

I’ve done the translation, I might be wrong, but I’d thought I’d put my evidence forward. IF it could be, we’ve got to ask, how did she end up in the UK?

There’s so many questions and I’m not sure how to answer them, but maybe with your help, I could get the answers.

Many thanks for reading and I hope to post many more comments, on posts, in the near future ☺️☺️.

I'm not at all qualified to say whether this could or could not be her but, while I tend to think estimated ages can be slightly out (give or take ten years against whatever is listed on NamUs) I think this would be too much of a stretch.

Does the UK have anything like NamUs where we can see rule-outs etc?

Such a sad title - "washed ashore in a cove."

I'd rather, though, have that fate than being dumped in a dust bin

Ooh.. I only skimmed that article and saw "severely decomposed" making me think it may be a possibility.

If it's within a matter of days then I think that would rule out Michaela. The next line is a bit vague, but I'm sure they can tell the difference between a year and a few days.

I guess severely decomposed/degraded means something different to professionals than it does to me in terms of time.

Also I read a newspaper appeal from her sister so I imagine they should have her DNA which would be another reason to rule MP out.

Here's MP's missing page on facebook run by her sister, no updates for nearly a year.

Missing Michaela Pugh Schniererova

There's no indication at all that Michaela died at the time she disappeared; in fact, there's an implication she was seen afterwards. She might have been depressed and eventually become suicidal, for instance, or just run into bad luck.

So I'd say if you didn't send her in yet, you should.

I sent it in to be on the safe side, seems like it wasn't her.

What a lovely thing to do, to attend the funeral. Thank you for the update. It's lovely to think that people turned out to say goodbye

Good morning all, sorry I’ve not posted in a while, I’ve been extremely busy with family life and my health. Anyways, that being said, I had something interesting pop up on my Facebook newsfeed about a lady who disappeared, from Australia, in 1997. Her name is Marion Barter.

She embarked on a journey from Australia to Europe, she ended up in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, UK. She had phoned her daughter several times but the calls kept on jumping out (technology wasn’t advanced back then). From what I’ve read, Marion was quite a well known to-do and wealthy lady, marrying a Sportsman in Australia. Upon departing Australia, her daughter informed her bank and it was then, she came to learn, money was slowly being siphoned out of her accounts (I believe it was $3.5k in space of a few days/week, which ended up being quite a hefty sum (after all) of $100,000AUD).

Upon her time in the UK, she met a man (again, this is what I’ve read). My speculation is, could she have married this man, he’s sadly passed away, where this has left her broken hearted, in which has lead to her demise? Again, this is my speculation.

If I am correct, in what I am led to believe, after a certain number of years, if a person isn’t found, they are presumed dead (I might be wrong, but I’m sure I’ve read it somewhere), being 22 years, could this be the case?

Marion will now be 73 years old (70-71 when this ‘unknown lady’ was found) and I am aware the age of this lady was 25-55, but Marion looks a very young looking lady, in the pictures.

Again, like I’ve said, I’m speculating here, but, what do you all think? Could this avenue have already being ventured?

P.S: I have contacted Sussex Police, as well as the Australian Missing Persons team, with no response....as of yet.
