(Re Victoria Cilliers' evidence)
Except that she could not really undermine the facts reported, as far as I could see, because she didn't say she'd tried to commit suicide. She presented herself as in a bad way, though, and capable of mistakenly abandoning the main parachute before the reserve failed to work. It seemed to be agreed that the only other option was that someone else sabotaged the parachute, unless you went with the feeble defence 'accidents do happen' line. The slinks were missing. She didn't do that.
On the gas pipe, the same seemed to be true - there was clear independent evidence, I thought.
All very frustrating.
