Poor Prince Philip! He was so keen to have his (Mountbatten) surname passed on to his descendents - and look how that has turned out! Everyone knows it now

Not sure what you mean. Isn't Andrew the only Mountbatten associated with JE?

And everyone knows about Andrew now?

I meant that although other of Philip's descendants have Mountbatten as part of their names (eg Archie and Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor), most people probably don't know or care about that. And never knew or have forgotten what Philip's surname was. But with Andrew and his name now in an intense spotlight, pretty much everybody has heard the name "Mountbatten". And Andrew has brought shame upon it.

I get what your saying but it is shame on him not the name. However, it is unfortunate that the specialness of Philip's name - Mountbatten - is now known notoriously (in 2026 at least) through Andrew's selfish desires left unchecked.

Prince Philip would be doubly mortified, as he named Andrew after his own father, Prince Andreas/Andrew of Greece.

The release of additional Epstein files continues to roil the British royal family, raising further questions about the former Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson's ties to the disgraced financier.
Earlier today, CNN's @EleniGiokos asked Prince Edward for his thoughts.

“It’s really important always to remember the victims. And who are the victims in all this? A lot of victims.”

With all support to the women and girls who were victims, but the truth is WE all are victims. The most powerful people in the world were ensared in this circle and the corruption wasn't just about abusing girls/women (that is bad enough!). Decisions that affect governments and large institutions and policies were made by a group exchanging sex, favors, money, blackmail, and influence on each other.

People with the RESPONSIBILITY to lead wisely put priority on their own d!cks and personal wallets.

Lord Mandelson fed information from Number Ten to Epstein for financial gain/sensitive information.

Mandelson got £75,000 in return, sent to his now husband.

Lord Peter Mandelson is pictured in his underpants with a woman in a robe beside him.

Lord Peter Mandelson should definitely be in jail. IMO, MOO etc.

He’s a pal, a great pal to PM Starmer.
Lord Mandelson is openly gay, so that is a puzzler.

The Mountbatten name has been notorious for decades.

Louis Mountbatten brought shame to the name while the last Viceroy of India & due to his own scandals.

Why the robe for her then?
I have no idea. Not my crowd, lol.

My question returns to: who took the photo? Who took any of the photos in the files that look so boring and mundane yet are compromising?

It has been suggested that there were cameras everywhere in the homes.

All the better to blackmail the visitors.

I mean who walks around someone else’s house in their underpants?

It makes sense the cameras were hidden because most photos are so....odd.

And that begs the question: where are all the photos? You don't install hidden cameras taking pictures for years without more photos than have been released.

My opinion - since I don't know about the world of hidden cameras and the ugly people who compromise each other for personal gain.

IDK. Trying to make sense of corrupt elites is likely futile
IMO, the problem with any kind of elite is that joining one entirely depends on making connections with the 'right' person/people to get you in. Which builds the kind of loyalty also seen in the mafia, and in cults. Those bonds of personal loyalty run very, very deep.

It seems to me JE built some kind of personal brand of being 'elite', and others were drawn to him like moths to the flame. I don't believe it was all about the young women giving massages, IMO his mystique was also being some kind of unappointed VIP with magical connections to people with power and money.

Agree. For years I've been saying, "It's not just about the girls!" It wasn't a sex ring as these powerful men could get any sex partner they wanted at any time, but it's about corruption far beyond that, at government levels.

And that's why the files are still not being released. It's too much.

Ugly, through and through.

A blackmailing spy who openly bought information? IMO, people need to choose just one plot device and stick to it.

IMO, he was in the 'business' of high finance. So he would be looking for inside info that might affect financial markets, or create tax writeoffs, or loopholes in regulations. That seems to be what Manderling provided.

Then, maybe he used that info to increase /protect his own and his clients wealth, or maybe he shared the info to build connections with yet more people.
