People say how would he do in prfison but I imagine after a few months he would go to an open prison and some of there are mainly for so called Fraud etc . The problem is ofc..is the allegations against him of a different kind.
Not a chance he's ever in general population. JMO

The lechery is grossly distasteful but not, in the UK, illegal, at least as described so far. What does look bad, in the emails revealed, is where he appears to be disclosing sensitive information. It could be unwitting of course, and probably was, but it's hard to overlook.
He gave them to Epstein or some so it wasnt unwiitting to be fair.

He could be if hes in an open prison. We have had a lot of people in high positions go to one and they can go out to work locally...not sure how that would work with him but still

How about as a co-conspirator?
imo
I think the only people that could be charged as co-conspirators in a misconduct in public office case would be others who also hold/held public office.

JMO though.

The man is an absolute disgrace.
I hope eventually he will have to pay for all his crimes.

It’s appalling that he has got away with his vile behaviour all these years.

Parents take note. This is what happens when parents have favourited.

Wow ! Stunned.
And here this arrogant entitled man was complaining about the country estate and mansion he was forced to move into.
Not good enough, not his style, what an affront to his self perceived highness. Well....wait till he sees his new residence !

That's it? Mishandling documents? Not saying there shouldn't be laws regarding that, but this is no substitute for justice regarding the REALLY bad stuff that went on with Epstein. This is more likely a smokescreen - something that happens fairly often (both advertently and inadvertently) and goes unnoticed, with no harm to anyone, but it makes LE look like they're doing their jobs. While it says that he COULD spend the rest of his life in prison for all of the charges thrown at him, it's a stretch to say that they deserve a lifetime in prison, just as a murderer would receive, especially if they can't prove that anyone was harmed as a result. We've seen how these play out before: the accused gets over-charged, with hopes of a plea bargain; charges are thrown out, and whether there's a plea or a trial, the end result is a sentence nothing near the maximum that was in the headlines at first. The prosecutors can say, "We got him," showing the true intentions they had from the start; the defendant goes away for a little while, but can still credibly claim that the worst accusations are bogus. Everybody wins, but nobody wins.

He may genuinely be so dim he had no idea he could have been breaking the law.

Well, he may not have to worry about where his next meal is coming from or not having servants to assist in his daily life.

This could be very interesting.

MOO
He's going to need his stuffed animals now 😀 moo.

I honestly doubt this person will ever see any prison.

I can only imagine
House Arrest/Imprisonment in his nice new home,
if he is even sentenced, that's it.

Indeed, although it's not clear his horrible sexual misconduct crosses the line into being criminal. The UK age of consent is 16. If he slept with a 17-year-old USian in the UK, that's not a crime.

It will be money, not sex, that brings these two down, IMO. Andrew Lownie thinks Sarah was into Epstein not for the $10,000 in the emails seen so far but for $3,000,000 or more. The £12 million chalet she bought and sold in Switzerland was impossible with her own money - she's broke - so whose did she use and why was it lent?

Follow the money with these two.

Or he thought he had the authority to divulge secrets as trade envoy. I think that is actually a reasonable defense for the charges as I understand them. Although IANAL. Would love @Nikynoo to comment on this thread.

How could he think it would be ok to divulge the secrets to an American knowing he would use that info for his own purposes?

Anyone else hoping that Mandelson may be next?

Shared trade documents with epstein.

Trade envoys must keep details about their trips confidential — even when they are no longer in the post — under the Official Secrets Act.

Heard a woman on radio (British accent) and was saying that if it came out that Charles knew or found out and did nothing possible he would have to abdicate the throne.

They've got to prove he knew. That could be tricky.

If I were his lawyers I'd argue he won't get a fair trial because everyone hates him for being a perv. That would not be too far wide of the mark and could conceivably work, or at least get him a juryless trial with some gullible judge deciding the case.

On the emails seen so far his case looks a lot worse to me. Randrew was not in government whereas Mandelson was.
