Former Prince Andrew remains under scrutiny following his arrest, with his daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie reportedly holding crisis talks with King Charles. Princess Kate made her first public appearance since the arrest, attending the Six Nations rugby match at Twickenham Stadium in her role as patron of the Rugby Football Union

A lot would argue that Number 5 should be removed also. Tbh though...Andrew is never going to get near the Throne anyway so its only words.
Removal requires the consent of the parliaments of the 15 Commonwealth Realms, which normally can be like herding kittens, but in the current atmosphere it might be more feasible.

As for #5, agree, Charles has given him somewhat of a cold shoulder but any further action will probably be kicked to William (who would love to go nuclear on him, I think).

William wouldn’t have to deal with this much at all if granny and daddy had put their foot down like they should have. Again, 15 parliaments would have to ratify.

As for Beatrice and Eugenie, who have their own baggage as well as the stink of their parents on them, the best thing for them is to give up their titles, they don’t and never needed them, and go live private lives quietly. They’re not working royals anyway.

A few thoughts today.

Andrew is scared. Really scared and so he should be.

There are people out there that would like him silenced however that may happen. Very powerful people. Many think Epstein met his demise not by his own hand. Andrew must be realizing his vulnerability right now.

Choices?

Sing like a canary and cut yourself a deal? That’s dangerous territory.

Suck it up, play it out, and hope he has a real good Barrister that can get him out of this current jam? If that doesn’t work and he lands in prison, he won’t do well. Not well at all.

Does he forego all of the above and take matters into his own hands?

Let’s review shall we?

He is no longer a Prince.

He is no longer a Duke.

He has been unceremoniously been kicked out of Royal Lodge only to be put up far from where the fun lies, by his brother, The King.

He is reviled in many corners of the world.

He is a pariah.

He has been humiliated beyond belief.

He’s lost pretty much everything including his family. He could very well lose his freedom for a very long time.

And, if by chance he manages to skate through all of this, William is waiting in the wings to cast the final blow.

Andy is done no matter how you cut it.

MOO
He sure is. He may want to put out a statement saying that he isn't suicidal at this point .

As an American whose life would be unaffected by this, I still look forward to when William is the king. Not that I wish for Charles to die, but out of the entire family, William and Kate are the ones I admire.

OK folks.
DM is doing serious overtime on this case 😁
Whenever I refresh X Twitter,
AMW pops up!

"Ambassador's warning to Government over
'crass and offensive' envoy Andrew:

'He does our interests no good'."

He still has young kids.
It is crucial to dedicate as much quality time as possible to them.
PW is still young.
KC enjoys the position he waited for most of his life.
He needs to close unfinished matters and leave PW a clean start.

Gordon Brown has demanded a police investigation into whether Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor used taxpayer-funded jets and RAF bases to meet the paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. In letters sent to six police forces, The Sunday Telegraph can reveal the former prime minister suggested that civil servants be questioned about Mr Mountbatten-Windsor’s time as a trade envoy between 2001 and 2011, including almost three years when Mr Brown was in No 10.

The Sunday Telegraph can now reveal that they show his deep concern that Mr Mountbatten-Windsor used chartered RAF flights to transport him to personal engagements that could have involved Epstein, and that the former prince might have leaked confidential information from the trips in a “wholly unacceptable” use of public money.

The former prime minister is also understood to be concerned about a flight the convicted paedophile took on a Gulfstream jet that landed at the Norfolk base in December 2000, which this newspaper revealed more than a decade ago.

Emails and flight logs that the US justice department disclosed show that the jet, carrying Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, initially landed at Luton Airport on Dec 6. The following day, it made the 80-mile hop to RAF Marham, this time with two additional passengers, one of whom is listed only as an unnamed “female”.
It reported that after landing at an MoD base, Epstein and Maxwell travelled the short 20-mile journey to the Queen’s Sandringham Estate, where they were entertained by Mr Mountbatten-Windsor, who is alleged to have arranged their access to the base…

On Saturday, police continued to search Mr Mountbatten-Windsor’s former home, Royal Lodge.
Two of his private bodyguards were photographed stocking up on supplies in Kings Lynn, close to his new Sandringham home, carrying boxes of beer under their arms.

One email, sent on Christmas Eve 2010, forwarded material linked to Epstein that referred to sensitive investment opportunities connected to the reconstruction of Helmand Province in Afghanistan.

“This goes beyond what a court could reasonably consider,” he said. “Parliament must consider what it means for the country. If the worst is proved, do we need to revisit treason laws written 700 years ago?”

Conservative MP Tom Tugendhat called for a special committee made up of lawmakers, civilians, and retired judges to investigate the duo’s relationship with the late sex offender and determine whether harsher laws are needed to strengthen oversight of the royal family,

“This affair raises urgent questions about foreign influence and national security,” the former security minister told the outlet Saturday.

Just read his daughters are meeting with KC to try to work out a deal. No sympathy.

Here is my question.....Why have there been no arrests, other the Maxwell person, in the United States? People cannot just walk away from this without consequences. Right?
Well, in the US it seems they can walk away with a lot.

There's an interesting article in the NYT posted this afternoon about how the Queen stuck by Andrew while the King is pushing away. I don't believe I can post it here but it's worth the read IMO.

Yes, through a daughter of King Edward VII. The Swedish and the Danish royal families are further down the list, as their connection is through a grand-daughter of Queen Victoria.
Victoria was known as the "Grandmother of Europe", and King Christian IX of Denmark as the "Grandfather of Europe". They're all related.

I can't feel sorry for Andrew (ewww) or his ex wife SF (yuk!) (who was recently still living with him). All those years Andrew was living it up off of others, making deals and hanging out with pedophiles and having sex with girls around the world. He and his spacey wife ruined any chance of people respecting their entire family. They've gotten away with too much already. Besides, those daughters are all grown up and have families of their own now. If they lose their line in succession, so be it, nobody will miss them.
