Gareth is not the first person to be missing in this area.
#Missing

Can you help us find Gareth (44), who was last seen in the South Stack area of #Holyhead around 4:30pm yesterday afternoon.

Gareth travelled in his silver Vauxhall Astra WF10 XZR to the car park near Elin's Tower.

He is thought to have been wearing a dark grey tracksuit, dark coloured footwear and a dark coloured raincoat.

If you have any information about Gareth's whereabouts or if you were in the South Stack area yesterday afternoon, please contact us via our live webchat - https://orlo.uk/D3VaG or 101

Our reference is B187084

The appeal appears to have been removed, but there has been no update to replace it. I hope there is going to be good news about this.

An update has now been provided by North Wales Police, but it's not a good one.

"It is with deep sadness that we can confirm that the body of a man was found in the water at Silver Bay, near Rhoscolyn on Saturday afternoon (17/12).

The man has now formally been identified as 44-year-old Gareth Arnold, who we circulated as missing towards the end of last week. There are thought to be no suspicious circumstances."

Thanks StillDiggin. A provisional cause of death of "multiple injuries".

"At today's hearing, the acting coroner Ms Sutherland said: "I have reasonable cause to suspect it was an unnatural death. The inquest will be opened but adjourned pending completion of further investigations."

I wasn't expecting that.
