Sky News have reported that a body bag was passed to divers, at which point the assembled camera crews and photographers were asked to stop filming.
Good. Lucky that ghastly Curtis chap wasn't in the area.

Just watching sky news now - the reporter is confirming the black bag was a body bag.

Can’t believe they had to be ASKED to stop filming and taking photos - surely they shouldn’t have had any cameras there.
Sky News are so intrusive, i'm surprised Kay Burley hasn't shown up yet.

In a black bag though?........
As someone else said, it's likely that the divers took a body bag in with them so that they could attain some privacy and dignity by bringing up the body covered. No matter how hard they try to clear the area there would probably be media or onlookers with telephoto lenses.

ETA Sorry. I didn't scroll to see others had already said the same thing.

Very sad indeed and will leave the family with many questions. I hope they find some answers. It's hard to equate the smiling, almost radiant woman at her store with what has just happened.
Often times its the ones who appear happy with no indication of self harm that are hurting so much on the inside. It's often a sign that they don't wish to make others feel badly despite them desperately needing to reach out.

So if the black bag was an official body bag, it looks to be a suicide. Very sad for the family at the holiday season, but at least they have answers.

Poor family. What a bloody awful Christmas.

RIP Gaynor

Thoughts with family, loved ones and friends.

Absolutely, i think the police have been really professional in the way they have handled Gaynor's disappearance. It looks like lessons have been learnt from the NB case.

That tent was erected yesterday ..think the police knew yesterday and it was just a matter of quick retrieve .. hence the quote “we have a indication and we are now working backwards”

Well, a body bag could be used in many different circumstances but it does look like a suicide as they've ruled out third party involvement.

It doesn't mean anything other than an attempt at privacy and dignity.

The coroner will rule if it was accidental, misadventure or any other cause.

I believe they used sonar yesterday, that probably identified where Gaynor was in the river.

The red buoy was put in the river yesterday.

Respect to Police hard work.

The police could also want to try and contact all family members to prepare them before the news of retrieving her body was reported in the news.

They would have wanted as much daylight as possible too to aid removal

RIP Gaynor. And thoughts with your family as well today.

Its incredibly sad to see Gaynor on that CCTV footage at 4.01pm a week ago today, looking up at that shop window and then walking off into the distance. I hope she is at peace now.

Anyway, back to Gaynor. I am glad she has been found and the family can properly grieve. Now we wait for the coroner to investigate.
