COPS have launched a frantic search for a missing Scots woman who vanished at the weekend.

Georgia MacLennan, 28, was reported missing on Sunday afternoon.

She was last seen outside a property in the Grimshader Lochs area of the Isle of Lewis at around 4.45pm on Sunday.

The area is located on the island's south east coast.

It sits around eight miles from Stornoway, where Georgia lives.

Police released a statement on Sunday evening after the alarm was raised over her disappearance.

Officers leading up the search say they are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare after she vanished.

Police Scotland yesterday afternoon (Sunday October 12) appealed for information on a missing Stornoway woman last seen in Grimshader, Lochs.

This morning they stated "We can confirm that Georgia MacLennan, 28, who was reported missing on the Isle of Lewis has been traced. Thank you to everyone who shared our earlier appeal."
