I would never give a name up, no matter what unless the cops could prove it with DNA & of course a body. I don't ever think anybody should be convicted for murder on circumstantial. It's a violation of true justice. Does that mean that a killer goes free, yes but rather that then an innocent person in jail. That neighbour is innocent until proven guilty. He might be some other criminal who did something stupid & that's why he burned the van but it can't lead to him being jailed for murder. That's simply not justice.

Yeah but they must not have enough, for example you know the guy in rutherglen has turned for the prosecution, so he must be saying what he knows/believes etc, and police are acting on this ? Because if he is saying he murdered him that’s the charge they would go for?

It's probably friends & acquaintances of acquaintances they are following. They are literally going from house to house to find something. I don't think the Mcginty guy knows anything besides that he is a friend of a friend of somebody that knows somebody else. That's what the police did act on. They did really act, the last was a downstairs female neighbor with a love triangle & houses of that woman's friends. But if nothing is found....Don't forget if it hadn't been for those few parts washing at Loch Lomond there would be nada. Zilch, You would have 2 people who just disappeared in thin air. Whether they are connected or not, a person who operates like that, who can make that happen, is not the 1 you would easily find . Remember it's the idiots who get caught.

So soon they will go searching all over Cathkin Braes Country Park probably. They would never do all this if they didn't think it was murder. They just can't prove it nor who did it. But I wouldn't necessarily think that if you go to Loch Lomond to dispose of hands or feet or arms, then you will go put the head somewhere in Castlemilk. You would go somewhere else if you are smart.

Well strangely the William begs limbs in the loch documentary was on Scottish television in early September

They say they maybe found something substantial so maybe they can now see if it was murder. It would be a bit uncomfortable if it turned out it was no foul play at all. Maybe they got really lucky & some DNA or fibers or something.

Watched that last year when it first came out. Limbs in the Loch: Catching a Killer was a good documentary. A family member was involved in that case. They told me a few disturbing things.

Working up castlemilk today, lots of police , tents and CID in cars. Someone who stays on one of the streets the police have taped off said some interesting things! Looks like a lot more will be getting released soon

They apparently had the torso from the loch but if they couldn't say murder from that, then the only other option is the head. That might have been found but of course you have to be able to see it. If you smother somebody, then now after decomposition for that long, you might not be able to find much trace. It's very hard to find cause of death by suffocation so long after the facts. Maybe they will get lucky & it was a bullet.
The head isn't necessarily the only other possibility. A stab wound to the leg, for instance, could be fatal if it hit the femoral artery (I can't remember if Graham's limbs have been recovered or not?)

The loch wasn't searched any longer but police was put there to watch the crime scene. I don't know if that is still the case. I guess they thought the killer might come back....
A hand was found, no other limbs that they have said. Not many murderers go for the leg I think. But it's certainly true. That's why it so imperative to find an entire body.

DNA evidence IS a kind of circumstantial evidence, not direct evidence.

Was he wearing anything when he was located? And how decomposed was he?

Not if they can match it with a suspect. Then it is direct evidence.

All it would prove is that you were in the vicinity of somebody or that you or something you had touched had touched them somehow. Same with fingerprints and a lot of other forensic testing (this doesn't mean they aren't strong or definitive though).

Direct evidence is things like eyewitness testimony and audio/video recordings that directly prove something without need for inference.

How do you know a hand was found?

the police is calling again for Lewis from their SM police page. It's such a sad state of affairs.
