Dogs that Killed Grandmother While She Visited Grandson Were XL Bullies, Banned in England

A 39-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident, police have said.

Esther Martin, 68, was killed on Saturday by the dogs, who were kept in the home where she was visiting her grandson, in Jaywick, England, Essex Police said in a statement.

Poor woman, what a terrible way to go. I hope they throw the book at this man. He would damnn well know he had a couple of large and aggressive dogs. They were his responsibility to train and make them safe, but I'm sure he got a kick out of how scary they were.

**If anyone is confused. New XL bullies are banned. Current owners can get their dogs grandfathered in. Putbulls are already banned. The identification of banned breeds (especially when the dogs mixed) is a bit woolly.
