[h=3]Stewart denies removing phone sim[/h]Defence barrister Simon Russell Flint: “Helen’s phone, when did you find that?’
S: On Friday April 15
F: Where did you find it?
S: On Helen’s armchair in her study
F: Had you at any stage removed the sim card from that phone?
S: No
F: What’s the phone network signal like in Broadstairs?
S: One of the rooms we use as the kitchen is in the basement, which is where I would have charged the phone and turned it on

Kidnappers 'must have panicked'

Stewart is now being re-examined by the defence. He said Helen’s body must have been in the cess pit because Joe and Nick “panicked” when they saw police and press involvement. He said the first ever allegation made by the prosecution that there was a slow poisoning of Helen was well after his defence case statement had been served. Stewart said he was in hospital for just over a week for his cancer scare, and Helen had the Zopiclone at that time.

If panicked why would they not just dump her somewhere unconnected? He's ridiculous.

[h=3]Stewart objected to police search because of disruption[/h]F: The search you objected to was a search on May 18?
S: Yes
F: How many times had the premises, grounds, garages and outbuildings been searched by this point?
S: There was a big search with 18 plus officers, there was a dog search, and two other smaller searches. At least four other searches. In the big search they’d broken two things, the pool cover and a china duck. It was a total disruption, you can’t imagine seeing people tear your house to bits. It was more about that than anything

Note the use of "where I would have"rather than "where I did"

WOW! WOW!

I've been out all morning and early afternoon...just come back to the prosecution producing NiJo....fabulous, just an ace from Trimmer there.

And IS sounding increasingly pressured and cornered.

Nobody on the jury can be buying this surely.

His poor sons though...although I would be almost certain one of them has put the pieces together regarding NiJo and informed the Prosecution.

Yeah they're worried about the police and press involvement and so they decide to dispose of the bodies in the very place where all the police and press involvement is. centred

[h=3]Joe and Nick not based on two men brought into court[/h]F: There was a statement made that you based the description of Joe and Nick on two of your neighbours from Bassingbourn who were wheeled into court. True or not?
S: Not at all, they don’t look anything like them. Those two gentleman I’ve not thought about for some time as we moved out. Nick I’ve not seen for over a year now.
F: Did you know your car had been caught on the ANPR device in Margate?
S: No, I didn’t tell anyone about going to Margate. No one else even knew.

Yes when your beloved partner is missing and police are trying to find her I can see how your main concern would be damage to a pool cover and a sodding china duck!!!!

Random Twittererer has said: "The sheer gall of the man beggars belief".

All he's done there is explain that he deliberately picked two people from two different circles, making it less likely for anybody to work out that they were descriptions of real people... and still got caught .

Also it definitely sounds like somebody else who also knew both circles of friends came forward with this info, rather than each of them separately coming forward.

The family without a shadow of a doubt.

But an intelligent person who is somewhat forensically aware would be able to make the assumption that that journey had left a trail.

S: I lost it in Royston or Cambridge. Police could always have access to my phone but I would not let them take it out of my possession..

F: Did you know there would be references to people called Joe and Nick?

It was in his back pocket on the Monday night wasn't it? It wasn't on the chair when the police were searching anyway he already had it snaffled away.
