That would depend on the body of water, I suspect. The river and canal system in and around Bristol is no longer used for navigation other than a few pleasure craft and there's little activity to stir up a body there or places for one to get caught up. Marine shipping docks at Avonmouth and Portishead so doesn't enter the city. The Avon is tidal up to the locks Jack was seen walking around but the flow isn't fast, and the river has been known to flood during and after heavy rain.Unless bodies are recovered from the water within a few days, then that information may not be available. Moving bodies of water often lead to loss of clothes and tissue.
