Police and family are seeking the public’s help to find 33-year-old Jayne Travell.

Jayne has been missing for over a week, having last been seen on the morning of Tuesday 23rd July in Andover, Hampshire.

The mother of three did the school run in the morning and was then seen at Tesco, Weyhill Road, Andover at around 11am. After this she just vanished.

Jayne is believed to have links with Andover, Abbotts Ann and Salisbury.

She is described as white, around 5ft 8ins tall, straight, brown, shoulder-length hair and wearing a blue denim jacket, light-coloured jeans and black fur-lined boots.

It's many years since I've been to Andover but if I recall it was a military town. It's in Hampshire so probably reasonably affluent. But the Ministry of Defence being the largest employer it is probably rough in places.
Strange that a young Mum can just vanish, reading the posts it doesn't seem like she had an unhappy life.

One of the articles states that the police believe that she was dropped off at Tesco by a friend.

Hampshire Police now believe missing woman Jayne Travell is in the Cowbridge area of Glamorgan of South Wales after following various lines of enquiry.

Police are now appealing in the area and hope they can reach Jayne.

The 33-year-old was last seen at Tesco, on Weyhill Road, where she was dropped off by a friend at around 11am. She then did not appear at work later in the day.

It's pretty close to Weyhill Road, so it looks quite likely imo: Dog walk at Rooksbury Mill

I would like to know what she bought at Tesco and how far is the shop from her home. If she was grocery shopping and had several bags to carry, would she have walked home? Or call an Uber or cab? Take the bus? Is there no footage of her leaving the shop and showing which direction she went?

Also, did she intend to go to work right after shopping?

I wonder if there's any link with another woman from Andover who was murdered a month ago: Husband of Gretna Green bride is charged with the 30-year-old's murder | Daily Mail Online (the estranged husband has been charged.) Lucy's home was in Suffolk Road, which runs off Weyhill Road, and is between it and the lakes where the new body is.

Although formal identification is ongoing, police do not believe the body is missing Andover woman Jayne Travell.

I saw that Tortoise, but I don't see where their proof is that the police believe it's not her - the link in the article is to a slightly older article afaics, before the body was found, and I can't see anything else on line to that effect. It would be a massive coincidence to have THREE women dead or missing in the same small town within a month.

In the article it says they have notified the next of kin of the woman found in the lake, even though she hasn't been formally identified yet.

Andover PD is actively posting and reposting tweets for her missing also recently, i assume the found body is not connected to this missing
