"Was the thud the door closing, the difficult door?" suggests Mr Lickley.

skynewsgatherer Harriet Tolputt
Mr Lickley said Joanna had time to only take her coat off, let the cat out, put the oven on and take a sip of cider.

#Tabak prosecution: "VT used the phrase 'I can't remember' more than 80 times when giving evidence. A convenient device to avoid an answer".

Looking forward to seeing the court artist's impression of this!

A couple of interesting points via Harriet:

Harriet Tolputt
Mr Lickley says Joanna dropped her apron by the door, because something happened by the door.
Lickley reminds the jury how Tabak was interested in why the door had been taken for forensic testing.

Harriet Tolputt
Mr Lickley said Joanna had time to only take her coat off, let the cat out, put the oven on and take a sip of cider.

But the fact is that to squeeze someone's neck for 20 seconds hard enough to stop their heart is only going to result in serious injury or death. He must have known this. Therefore he murdered her.

At the moment where he could have stopped and resuscitated her, he didn't.

Completely agree. No way did he not know what he was doing, or what is likely to happen if you do that. The man is in his thirties and has a PhD, it's not as if he were mentally subnormal.

Suggesting why VT needs to shift the timeline

Steven Morris
Lickley says Tabak lying about the time of the killing. Pros says it took place around 8.50pm. Tabak says about 9.30pm.

Martin Evans
If the killing took place around 8.45pm what was he doing with her body until he left home after 10pm, Mr Lickley asks.

Steven Morris
Prosecution suggests Tabak is keen to say killing took place later because that would leave him spending less time with body....

And on why he said he moved her to the bedroom

Skynewsgatherer
Lickley suggests that Tabak told the jury he moved Joanna's body to cover up the fact that "something" happened in the bedroom.

Steven Morris
Why did Tabak say he moved the body into her bedroom. It was, says pros, because her earrings were found there....

Skynewsgatherer
Lickley reminded the jury of the evidence given by Joanna's boyfriend Greg that he found her earring in the bed.

Steven Morris
"Something happened in the bedroom," says Lickley. That is why "shrewd" Tabak says he moved the body there after Yeates' death.

Steven Morris
Prosecution alleges that Vincent Tabak did not move the body for more than an hour after the killing

I'm with you Veggiefan; it's persuasive if you do a lot of inferring but less so if you look at the small number of actual facts! Where has Lickley's assertion that the attack happened at 20:49 come from??

first we've hear of a 'difficult door' isn't it??

From time of screams heard I think. But surely JY was walking past the Hophouse pub at 8.44 (clock might be wrong though) - Rupert Evelyn said it was a 7 minute walk for him (in non-slippy conditions, she would possibly have taken more time) to no.44.

I would guess more like 8.55 if the prosecution is right. I thought the Lehmans said that the closest they could get to an actual time was between 8.50 and 9pm (by asking friends what time they arrived at the party).

I am sensing there is much more to VT than we know, and certainly some very strong suggestions about the sexual nature of the crime. I wonder if VT had far more exotic browing history than most before he killed her?

I wonder if they used the CCTV of the neighbour down the road to get an accurate time? they were accurate that he left his house at 10:13 to set off to Asda

I wonder if this was inadmissable and we might get to hear about it afterwards.

From time of screams heard I think.

The prosecution is not being particularly honest about the times of screams:

"NL talking about witness Harry Walker's account of hearing screams on Dec 17th between 2015 and 2050 in the evening"

... Harry Walker actually said that he heard the scream at about 8.30pm, as he prepared to sit down for pudding with his girlfriend.

"Mr Lickley said Joanna had time to only take her coat off, let the cat out, put the oven on and take a sip of cider."

so Greg must have bought it back in when he left for Sheffield, and the cat would only have been out for a few minutes as well.
