As comments have been made on the police appeal, a white middle aged woman goes missing not too far away 2days earlier and is getting wide ranging press coverage and searches. This black middle aged man gets virtually nothing.
Whilst I agree that People of Colour get less media attention than Caucasian middle class pretty women. I think the weird circumstances of GL are what is drawing the attention.

I hope Julian is found safe and well soon

I really hope this guy is found safe and well, but my heart sinks when someone disappears after a night out and the last sightings are near water

Likewise.

He looks cold in the CCTV picture, has he got his shirt cuffs over his hands? It was about 9C at that time, and rather windy at 26mph.

That struck me too. If he had been out at a club or pub he might have been hot, but anyone in the early hours of a December morning will feel cold. Where is his jacket or coat?

I’m so very sorry to hear the news :(

My thoughts are with Julian’s close ones. Rest in peace, Julian.

I fully agree :( !!!

A human life is equal to me at least - despite of the sex, age, underlying health conditions, ethnicity, gender indentity etc.

It all makes me rage here at home at times…
