:(

I am not surprised but still very sad. My prayers are with her loved ones. It sounds like the police tried to keep the news quiet so that her brothers could be told in person. It takes from 24-27 hours to fly from Sydney to Glasgow, depending on stops.

This is horrific.

Has anyone came across a link between AP and the farm?

Anyone know if Pacteau spent any significant amount of time abroad, say in France? I know his lawyer told the court last year he had no previous criminal history, but I believe he may have, at least, a long, long history of dishonesty. If something happened abroad it wouldn't show up in UK records.

The land where they have found the remains is in between his flat in Kelvindale and his mother's home in Drymen.

At the age of 21 he can't really have a long, long history of anything. At least not one which would be publically available, whether in France or the UK.

Believe based on what?

Why France?

Yeah I read the farm is 10 miles from his mum's house. There must be a reason he chose this particular farm to put remains. Maybe a relative or friend owns it. I've read he runs a haulage business I wonder where that operates from. I will keep an eye out for any info.

Yeah sorry I know the area, I was meaning a more direct connection? Family, friend, ex workplace? Its just seems more risky to dispose of Karen where he did when there's a lot probably less frequented places in the area. I just get the feeling he tried to get rid of Karen's body rather than just dump her to be found?

I was thinking more of historical information he might have revealed himself - like the commercial online furniture business he set up as a .org which could not have been legitimate. It wasn't a non-profit.

I'll have a little search in French anyhow. You never know.

I have looked on google maps but I don't know Scottish geography at all. Is there an image to help for people not in the know? How far away from Glasgow are these places? I can see on the map that it doesn't look far but I know that it takes a LOT longer to drive anywhere over there than it does here in Australia!

Just because a commercial organisation uses a .org website it does not make it illegitimate.

.org websites are generally (but not strictly used) for non profit organisations, schools, local authorities and charities. They can be used by commercial organisations ( Craig's list is a great example).

If a particular domain name is unavailable as .com or .co.uk many domain name websites will push alternatives such as .org or .biz often quite cheaply.

Your comment is technically libelous and definitely completely incorrect.

Having a little look around on social media and AP doesn't seem that out of the ordinary - recent skiing trips with friends etc. giving me the heebies at how little you can know someone, that and the fact I'm 5 mins from Dorchester tonight - I think sleep is cancelled.

It's only about 6-7 miles from his flat and if you continue on from the farm it's about 10 miles to his mother's home.

Okay.

I wonder if that's also sometimes used when someone wants to copy the name of a reputable firm to set up their own business, with just a slight change in the domain ending?
